Ray,IN
We do not get cell phone service at our house. I searched Verizon's website for a cheap fix, didn't find one. I visited a Verizon store and asked what to do, the man requested my phone, then showed me how to change a setting so I may use my internet router to obtain wireless phone service. It works great! Guess an old dog can be taught a new trick. 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. USA IN 1SG retired;Good Sam Life member,FMCA ." Yes, It's on all the time now. Most smart phones now have this feature, even my old Samsung ACE. There hasn't been one bar of signal at our house for a couple years now. I can't use any internet, it must be open or the password entered on protected WiFi, just like a laptop. I have no idea how it works from the internet to cell tower, no reason to know that part. 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. Dutch_12078
Apparently our LG Stylo3 phones do not have that feature, so we use a Google Voice app for VOIP calls over WiFi at times. That works well for us when our AT&T hotspot has a stronger signal than our Verizon phones. eddie1261
I had a Magic Jack for a few years so I had a "home phone" number that I could attach a regular phone to, but if you have a phone, people call you, so..... I don't really do phones. Text me, email me. I don't want to actually talk to people. But that's just me.

sandsys
I keep my phone on vibrate with no sound. I don't always feel it vibrate. Even then, I don't answer the phone unless you are in my contacts list. I only answer texts from my family or doctor. I DO respond to email.
