Alie&Jim's Carrilite
While browsing another interest of mine I ran across this- https://www.tradeonlytoday.com/industry-news/video-abyc-debuts-new-wire-sizer-app Yes, you have to pay for it, $4.99 I believe, but for the folks that are always reworking a truck to RV it might be handy. jkoenig24
Thanks, Jim! I added this app to my AppShopper.com wishlist. AppShopper shows it's a new app that was released on 9/23/17. AppShopper will notify me when this app goes on sale and I'll get it then.

LINK And these type of calculators are preferrable, IMHO You have much more control over your inputs and the resultant is clear, concise and "end-user" friendly. Change the values, note the resultant and then decide if the run savings/expense is worth the efficiency gain/loss. I haven't used the app mentioned, but one flag for me is that it appears that the loss percentages are fixed at either 3 or 10 percent. I would like having the temp and ampacity ratings available at a glance, but the loss margins are just too great in an RV, IMO. Especially when you're talking solar. The calculator that Jack linked... it leaves no need for guesstimations and hasn't been "dumbed down". What "would" be nice to see is one like that, but also included fields for factor and a temp values . I'd even pay money for that one.
