j2catfish
It appears that the RVs involved are park models and not what I would call typical RVs. That does not reduce the tragedy. I have noticed that some RV resorts in Myrtle Beach and else where seem to violate any set back/spacing requirement. Makes it had for the fire folk to get to the site and do their most thankful work. Be careful out there. Catfish '08 Chebbie K3500; '07 Teton Sunrise Experience;Native Texan/Transplanted Tarheel; Retired USMC LDO

Or carrying the ingredients. They'll find out. Sad regardless. Have we already forgotten the pain caused to the family of an explosion in an RV owned by a pastor when comments were made about a potential meth lab being the cause? Please, let's not speculate in a harmful manner. RV_
OK, Here's what the lead fire investigator just told me over the phone. First off there were no explosions. The sounds that were reported were from the RV and golf cart tires blowing out from the fire. It was a Park model "with additions added onto it." The fire was so complete that the case is closed as cause unknown because there was nothing left to investigate. The fire completely consumed the park model that caught fire to begin with. That from the Horry County fire investigation office. There were no reasons to suspect a chemical fire or foul play.
