house
I load tested my batteries this past weekend, and they all failed. So I am in the market for some new ones. I called the international dealer, after reading the dealer is the place to go on the form. they are $65 a piece, I am just curious if these batteries are as good as the $130 dollar batteries they sell at auto parts stores. just curious if anyone has any input. rickeieio
I just took International batteries out of my Mack. They were in there when I bought it in 11/2007, and have been horribly neglected ever since. I would buy another set. CrazyCooter
I just did mine a couple of weeks back.... Every vehicle I own has been getting AGM's or LiFePO, but the $235+ea price tag steered me away since one will always fail before the other 3 and cause you to buy 4 new ones again! The local Volvo/Pete dealer had TRP/East Penn USA made group 31's w/ 24mo. warranty for $76 ea and at that time a coupon brought them down to $71ea! I could easily buy 3 sets of AGM's for that price, so I went with the flooded. You might check that out? Hard to know who made those International batteries and if they are still the same battery now..... Funny the Motorcraft batteries that came in the Superduties aren't the same Motorcraft batteries they sell at the dealer aftermarket and don't last 7 years like the originals! 1999 Peterbilt 385 C12 430/1650 13spd 2006 Dodge 3500 DRW 4x4 2010 Hitchhiker Champagne 36 LKRSB
house
That is my thinking, even if they only last half as long, they are still a good value. Just curious how there can be that much difference, I was under the impression that most battery places pretty much sell these by the pound. MrSeas
Big truck dealers sell batteries by the pallet. More volume means better price!
SuiteSuccess
My Volvo dealer has them for $76. Same price I paid six years ago and mine are still going strong. Bought them from Pete dealer. 2006 Volvo 780 "Hoss" Volvo D12, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift Bed Build by "JW Morgan's Custom Welding" 2017 DRV 39DBRS3 2013 Smart Passion Coupe "Itty Bitty" "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. lappir
I cut back two years ago and just put in two batteries. My brother sells Interstate batteries so that's the one's I put in. Haven't had an issue but since the batteries have been replaced if the truck isn't running it's plugged into a battery charger/monitor/conditioner.
