GlennWest
Well, I changed it. Removed ecm fuse. Still have abs light. This module was for a single rear axle. 4s/4m and had all the features of my original module. Likely have to let Freightliner look at it. Hopefully some changes need to be in computer. 2003 Teton Grand Freedom towed with 2006 Freightliner Century 120 across the beautiful USA welding pipe.https://photos.app.goo.gl/O32ZjgzSzgK7LAyt1
MrSeas
Glenn did you drive the truck or just run it? Sometimes an "ABS" fault will clear when you get up to a certain wheel speed. The code may go inactive after a number of key cycles.
GlennWest
No didn't drive it. Hope you are right. CDR
Glenn, Glenn, Glenn.... Â If the trucks been sitting for a while you may get an ABS light until you drive a mile or so, then brake. Or if you start up (without moving) usually rests after keying on/off. It's typically dirt by the sensor or locked drums. Â But you would have figured this out with "Access Freightliner", with which gives you your operating manual. As well.... Scrap
Got my fingers crossed for ya! Do you guys have an ABS test switch to get codes with? I think some FL's had them behind the drivers seat? Or by the diagnostic plug?
GlennWest
Hadn't found my operating manual. The one listed is for new trucks. Few of the switches look like mine. I haven't found the data plug yet. 2003 Teton Grand Freedom towed with 2006 Freightliner Century 120 across the beautiful USA welding pipe.https://photos.app.goo.gl/O32ZjgzSzgK7LAyt1
CDR
Scrap; Â Most Century/Columbia/Coronado's will have a plug just behind the drivers door threshold (door step plate). It is either on the trim panel or under an oval cover plate there. Â Glenn; Â When/If you get into Access Freightliner you will have the manuals for "Your" truck. Not a generic version. HERO Maker
Sounds like when the axle was dropped, no re-programing of the computer took place. If it is necessary on a FL? GlennWest
Good question. And no it has not been reprogrammed by Freightliner. Going there in near future. Want to get info and clear governor while there. Reading about pulling a relay and resetting abs. Going to do more research. Do believe I will remove all the extra cables, etc left over from the removed axle. May find one plugged in wrong. so much all together now hard to isolate. 2003 Teton Grand Freedom towed with 2006 Freightliner Century 120 across the beautiful USA welding pipe.https://photos.app.goo.gl/O32ZjgzSzgK7LAyt1
