tyates007
I am getting ready to mock up my bed and was wondering how much space I need between front of bed and cab for clearance issues. I was thinking 2" would be enough for cab to move around and not interfere with bed. Truck is KW T2000. If this has already been covered I'm sorry. Did not find in search or resource guide. Thanks for any help.
NoDirectionHome
I think that 2" would be a good number. The bed will not move forward towards the cab or vice-versa, but the cab does tilt side to side a decent amount over rough roads. 2" will also allow good drainage for snow or access if necessary. rickeieio
I'll add to the above.....either place it far enough back to get your arm in there, or leave an access panel for unscheduled repairs. I now have the latter. Jack Mayer
KW bodybuilder manual wants 4"... Well, there is the answer....since this is a T2K I'd do the 4". But 2" has proven to be fine on a Volvo - for Volvo owners. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's.
