We're buying a MH

So we decided to buy an old 80's model Georgie Boy Excalibur Class A. It is going to fit us great since we are wanting to do a complete remodel into a 50's diner style interior. My question is where would be a good source for bodyparts and stuff? It has a "hood" panel that has a corner broke on it and it's missing the spare tire cover and a hub cap. I know I can fix the "hood" if it comes to that but if I could find a place to buy parts that would be cool too! Also where have you guys found the best deals on leveling kits? I found a salvage place where I could piece one together for about $3000 for everything but seems like I ought to be able to get new for close to that.

For a leveling system, give the folks at Quadra Manufacturing a call and ask about their EZ-Leveler system for your coach. The EZ is a manual single pump system. I installed it myself on our previous coach in about 8 hours spread over a couple of days. Drilling the 16 half-inch jack mounting holes in the frame was the most time consuming part of the job. The price is considerably less than a fully automatic system and still gets the job done quite well.

For your other parts, give Colaw RV's Used Parts dept a call, but I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for a coach that old. You may be stuck with fabricating your own parts or adapting parts from other RV's.

The hubcaps should not be a problem as they are from the aftermarket and should still be available. Body parts will need to be repaired, found in a salvage yard, or fabricated. Your coach was built by Georgie Boy and they have not existed since 2000 so new parts are highly unlikely to still exist.

Like Dutch, I favor Big Foot for leveling jacks.

Thanks everyone! I had found Colaw's on the internet but you never know about places. It's nice to get someone that suggests somewhere. I didn't figure I'd find any new parts unless it was just some random person that had something stashed away. We are looking forward to getting this and getting started on the remodel. Gonna probably be a long process but it'll be a steady progress for sure! We love the 50's style and lifestyle so it should be a lot of fun!
