Lee....so sorry to hear things aren't going well with you. I've been out of touch for about a week and missed your post. God speed, Lee, and I hope you get settled-in and head down the road to better days.

Lee, It may not be the best traveling but at least it is traveling.

 

Dave and I have been checking into future housing--currently checking out a Continuous Care facility. That's one where we move in as independent living then receive assisted care, memory care, and/or hospice as we need them right on the same campus here in the same suburb in which we live now. All that plus the health club and activity center are all in connected buildings so I can use my TravelScoot to get around all year. We haven't talked price yet, though, so we'll see how that goes.

Big rain tonight here in Oklahoma! Didn't look like much to start with, but all of a sudden we were in the middle of it. It blew in from the North (unusual), and then after passing through, it came back from the south. No hail, but 60mph winds and plenty more rain. I'm glad we were able to go to a fireworks event yesterday, because tonight's show was cancelled, or I think I saw it floating by a while ago. No leaks, but my drivers window vents must have gotten clogged since the last rain. Looks like that jumped right up on the priority list! We did manage to sneak out to the Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch so we had our stamina built up for the storm. It looked nasty, but none of the weather guys were even talking about it so around here that's a non event.

 

Linda, sounds like you guys are getting an early start on a "third" retirement. We wish you luck in finding a place that meets all of your needs and then some. Maybe even a "travel scoot" race track for those quiet weekends. Who knows, Nascar might need another class!

Hello all! We have just come out of the mountains of Southwest Colorado... lots of catching up to do after a week without cell or internet service. So sorry to learn of your loss, Sandie & Jim! Also, Lee, we are keeping good thoughts for you as you travel east and settle in at your new home!

 

We had a great time with Tina & Jeff boondocking with us in Bayfield and Alamosa, Colorado in June. Back in Bayfield again... Nancy & Dave will arrive on Wednesday to join us here. And, of course, time with family nearby is a bonus!

 

Best wishes to all as you travel, enjoy summer locations, stay safe from storms, get new trucks, etc.

We are still in Tennessee but plan on leaving before Monday. I was wondering where Lee was now as there was a lot of fireworks around here recently. I bet he was passing near us on his way to SC. Hope all is well with Lee and he is enjoying his trip east. Sorry to say it is hot and humid here but supposed to cool down Saturday. Happy 4th to everyone.

We are in Buffalo WY until end of July - then onto Colorado, - then Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Scotland and Ireland!! a vacation from our RV lifestyle and a celebration of my sisters 75th birthday, plus our 40th anniversary year - any excuse will do. LOL

might have to break down and start a blog just for that trip.

No more trips for "Cranberry Juice" as the company closed their Vancouver operation. So just been staying close to home for the time being. Heck probably won't make it any farther south than Seaside, Or this year.

Our Oregon stay is about over, just a couple more things to do to the new pickup and we will start a slow crawl towards Colorado. I guess because we are only maybe 3 days away from leaving I better start looking at a route LOL!! And maybe a few options for places to stay when we move around Colorado.

Moved from Loveland, Co. where it was near 100 degrees yesterday to Steamboat Lake, Co. where it suppose to get in the mid 30's by morning. Good grief. Back to 80's for day time temps though.

LOL, we have ridded motorcycles through Colorado and experienced some crazy weather, changed gear more than once throughout some days. Really looking forward to seeing and experiencing it in the RV.

I will certainly put some pictures on the blog Jeff. In fact I've been working on a new update that should be up within a couple days.
