Tina and I have stopped in Deming over night to see Lee.

Thanks for the update. It's always nice to have another set of eyes on people you care about who MIGHT have a tendency to minimize a situation. When he's not twisting, turning, and embellishing it. :)

Linda- Lee always tells the truth not like Steve who has been know to adjust the facts. Now you really can't trust either one of them when it concerns the ice cream machine. I think Steve has taken advantage of Lee's condition to return and get the ice cream machine. Why else would he return to tornado alley in season?

I'd like to add my best wishes to you, Lee, and a rapid recovery for you. I've been following this thread for over a year and have especially enjoyed your posts, Lee. In fact I even stopped by in Deming over Thanksgiving 2014 to say hello, but missed you.

Today I retire or, rather, its my last day of regular work. In the next 2 days my wife and I hit the road headed east to Florida to visit our 2 sons and then we're volunteering in Massachusetts at a COE facility for the summer. And back to NM for the fall.

Good Health to you , Lee!

How does Steve know I'm not playing possum and just waiting for him to get over confident and make a mistake.

Adjust the facts?? Not me, and what ice cream machine?? Jerry you've been in those Tennessee hills sipping the Kool-Aid waay too long!! We just come back to Oklahoma in the spring to wind our watches! Amazing how fast they wind up when you're spinning around in a Tornado.. We did have a little scare yesterday evening and went to the Hospital shelter across the street. Turned out to be wind, a little hail, but nothing to write home about. Today is a beautiful day sunny, 65 degrees and a full parking lot. :o There is a farmers market, dog show, flea market and a 30 or so wagon train here today. I could probably sell my parking spot for a pretty penny right now. Oh well, I guess I'll just people watch and sip my coffee. :D Steve

ps: Yeah, Lee, I do make mistakes, but now I can't remember them, so are they still mistakes?? Hmmmm

Better that way around than the other. Glad you are safe. For now.

Well, our WiFi has decided to work for a while. So, now that I'm on the net I might as well use it. I sure have been doing a lot of sorting tossing away. My old rig is going to float away My Niece pulled into Moscow today. She can't wait to get into a Motel where she chances getting bed bugs and every kind of germ and virus that floats through the air. I should show her how to use my black light. She would never step foot in a Motel again. I'm thinking of sleeping in the truck on the way back. Every since finding hear aids in bed in two different motels in upstate Ney York I can't sleep at all in one. My wife couldn't either. Boy the weather is getting bad here in OK (That should keep Steve on his toes for a while)

I hear ya Lee and one of the first things I do when we get into a motel room is ditch the bedspread...you don't know what's been rubbing on that germ sponge! :o

'Nuther day of rain here and high in the 40's. Been like this all week. Moving about 20 miles to a CG across the Mississippi River tomorrow. Maybe that will have different weather!

I agree with Roger. The first thing we do is throw the bedspread on the floor. We've watch too many Hotel Impossible series that black light the bedspread. Good thing is many hotels are already doing away with those bedspreads and sticking with just the sheets. Can't understand why she wants a motel when she's got the Navion! Did you show her the beds?

Hi friends,

I have a favour to ask. We are looking for a host/hostess at BC Parks, Monck Park, near Merritt, BC, Canada. This is a volunteer position, without pay, so Americans would be fine. The position is mostly to entertain the campers. We like to have at least one movie a week in our amphitheater. We have regularly scheduled events ie. pet parade, scavenger hunts etc. The position would start about the 2nd week of June and finish the day after Labour Day. It would be 2, perhaps 3 days a week mostly on the weekend. That's what we are looking for.

This is what we offer. A beautiful, terraced site large enough for the biggest rigs. Power and water is included. Grey water into a rock pit and the dump station is just down the road. We have a store and staff gets 25% off. Firewood is supplied. We have a beautiful lake, Nicola Lake, white sandy beach and the water is cold but perfect for swimming. We have about 10 ki of hiking trails, one of them along side a lava bed. Fish are abundant.

The town of Merritt is only 20 minutes away and has most amenities including a regular Walmart.

So imagine spending your summer in beautiful British Columbia for free. (well you have to pay for your food)

If you are interested or know someone who might be, contact me here.

You made me miss my Mom. She was an outgoing, crafty lady who loved traveling in her RV and making newbies feel welcome. She would have loved this job. I hope you find someone as good as she would have been.

All of the hotels we stayed in while moving back to Virginia had no bedspreads. Also a lot of them are doing away with carpet too.

I prefer they keep the bedspread for me to throw on the floor. Otherwise all those things that would have been on the bedspread are now on the blanket/comforter.

How you doing Lee?

Monday morning we drove to a repair shop in Sierra Vista, Az. The brake pedal has gotten soft. The rear brakes were in awful shape. They replaced rotors, calipers, pads and oil seals. Left the shop after 7 pm to drive to Tucson. When we arrived in Tucson we discover one of the oil seals was bad and leaking all over the right inside tire. I called the repair shop and sent pictures. They hired a mobile service to come to the rv park and fixed it. We were 90 miles from the repair shop. We hope it's fixed and won't know until we leave on Friday.

We saw Dave and Nancy today in the rv park and going to Tom and Dianne's tomorrow.

Be safe everyone.

I'm doing fine Jeff but can't say the same about this WiFi. I'm talking much better and the brain doesn't wander as much. I got a lot of Cowgirls lined up for Adobe Deli so can't complain too much. I've cut back on the sorting and tossing. It was getting me too tired and I wasn't getting the walking exercise in. But I have it down to a point I wouldn't be ashamed to just leave the rest. Gary the maintenance guy comes over evey day and ask If I need help with any thing.

Those breaks of mine will give you a bump on the head if your not careful. Sure glad you got yours fixed.

It's almost funny now looking at the map. It's like the weather warmed up and we had a supernova effect and we all scattered around the map.

Not sure if it's the heat or because we just arrived in Arizona. LOL

We had a very good day with Tom and Dianne then dinner at their house with Dave and Nancy last night. It's so good to see them again. We'll probably see each other later as we head toward Colorado.

Glad you are doing better Lee. Get your strength back soon.

We've been clam digging at the coast !! Wanted to fly the drone and take pictures of all the clam diggers. However, the weatherman predicted winds of 15-25 so didn't bother taking it. However, the morning would have been perfect. Fire the weather forecasters !!

Not much to report from us. We are back "home" to do the Real Life stuff like Dr. appointments and such. Speaking of that Diane just got her test results back and it's one more year cancer free!! It's always stressful coming back for that test so it's a huge load off again.

Same here Dave. So glad to hear the great news about Diane!

Writing this and waiting for the storm to hit. Gonna be another wet week according to the weather guessers. At least it should knock the pollen level down a bit. I've never been bothered by the lil' buggers before but ever since Jan. in Texas we've been following the pollen season north. They don't have pollen in AZ do they?!!

Two days with no posts? I sure miss Lee keeping us going here.

Linda

I was wondering if everyone had broken fingers or something. Unbelievably quiet.

Happy Mothers Day!

We are in Yuma and it's pretty empty. There are 118 spaces where we are and there probably a half dozen of us here including the host. Lots of elbow room. LOL. Going to Los Algodones today and getting a new slide topper awning tomorrow.

That's great news about Diane and Roger we've had enough rain. If you want more rain come hang with us. We had 2 cloudy days in Lajitas, Tx and a few sprinkles. Driving over here to Yuma we went through a couple of rain showers in the desert. Can't seem to get away from rain and wind. I haven't washed my RV in months.
