Onthego
About 5 or 6 months ago I couldn't see the pins using Internet Explorer. Switched to Chrome and all was good again. Just checked IE and the pins are there now.  Finally got our flu shots today. sandsys
The Class Map  My husband, Dave, and I started full-timing in 2008. We met, here on this forum, others who started that same time. It wasn't long before we met in person two other couples from that online forum and decided gatherings were a good thing. In the mean time Jeri also decided gatherings were good and she offered to keep list of who was where to facilitate those meetups.  Dave, who enjoys creating computer databases, decided to develop a map where people could move their own pins to decrease the time and effort Jeri had to put into tracking us.  In January 2009 a bunch of people who went full time in 2008 and had sort of met on this forum met face to face with us in Quartzite. Our methods of connecting helped us invite them into our group.  Later, we opened the group to others who want to become part of what now felt like family with lots of small and large family reunions taking place in various locations.  If you want to become part of this family, you need to fully participate, That means you need to come to Quartzite where we can meet you and exchange stories. And you need to participate in this forum so we can keep in touch more than at the once a year big gathering. After all this forum is where we started becoming a group. This map is a private map that belongs to our RV family. You are welcome to join that family by participating in its methods of keeping in touch. If you don't want to participate in all that you don't have to do so. But, you cannot become a family member if you choose not to participate. For those of you do wish to become family--welcome. I look forward to hearing from you.  Linda Sand   Quote Blog: http://sandcastle.sandsys.org/ Former Rigs: Liesure Travel van, Winnebago View 24H, Winnebago Journey 34Y, Sportsmobile Sprinter conversion van

That is exactly how I feel. I might add that we can't bend the rules for one person without doing the same for all. If folks aren't on the forum or stop moving the peg, it defeats the whole purpose. We all love "bumping" into others on the road.  Thank you, Linda and Dave, for that map.   Well said Linda. That is exactly how I feel. I might add that we can't bend the rules for one person without doing the same for all. If we allow everyone on the map there would be so many names that it would be useless to our group.  Your point is right on. People are on the map because they have participated on the forum. I do bounce new additions to the map and deletions off others so it really is a joint "project". Sometimes we do some housecleaning of the map to keep it clean and current. So keep posting! IYQ
It got down in the mid 30s last night. I ran the furnace for an hour this morning and it brought the batteries down to 12.1 v. I have 2 group 24 batteries and that just isn't enough capacity for running the furnace. This morning I came back to Deming so Jimmy could install that Sewer Hose Carrier. While here I stopped by the ranch to pick up some stuff I had forgot to load when I left then took off again. This time I went south to Poncho Villa State park at Columbus NM. All the electric sites were taken at City of Rocks. I'll bet my potty trips will be much more leisurely tonight. Â While at Jimmy's RV I had him run a load test on the coach batteries. They were borderline. They may have been completely discharged a few times by the people that put the first 4000 miles on it or allowed to sit for a long time in a discharged state. Before I go to Q I'll put a couple golfcart batteries in their place. That will give me about 35% more capacity. Been a long time but we made up for lost time by talking about everyone not here. As usual IYQ and his cowgirls was a major part of the conversation. Being close to Mexico Beach lead to discussions about Joe. For some reason, Jeri and Terry would not stop at Mexico Beach as we drove by in the rain today. Not sure why. haha  Linda's explanation of how the map was originated and to be used was excellent. Quote http://www.toadswildadventures.blogspot.com/ Just travelin' down life's highway-toot-toot! steved44
Well we made it over the cascades today and are parked at my nieces place near Everett Washington. We took route 2 through Stevens Pass and it was a beautiful ride. The East side was fine, but coming down the West side was a bit more difficult. It was not the steepness of the road or the turns, but there were narrow bridges that would give you a start as you approached them and make you wish you had some grease on your mirrors to keep sliding past the oncoming traffic. We managed to get here without any problems and now are getting ready to take a Steve for the night. Hope everyone had a great day today. Â Randy & Liz, glad to see you on here and hope you can learn to speak Arizonian instead of Texan! Winter?? we just keep outrunning it!!
