Roger & Lynn
That's a good way to put it Roger .. Once classless, always classless (unless you recently got class?). Linda, you're in as long as you keep posting on the forum to keep us updated. Ouch! More repairs!! We certainly aren't any help there. Freddy and Delcie are going to be meeting us too at the Escapade!! I'm wondering if any of us will learn anything?? Looking forward to seeing Freddy & Delcie too Jeri! Odd that I haven't received any itinerary of events for the Escapade. Wonder if they'll have a class on refrigeration?!! Roger Quote Roger & Lynn Rempe Class of 2012 & "Class-less"! Freddy & Delcie
We are at The Ranch at Lakewood NM. Glyn and Diane Carson from our class are here, enjoying visiting with them. Will be going to Deming Thursday, [get ready Lee]. Will go to Benson for the last week before the Escapade. Was a little concerned about a place to fill the water tank until Toni posted the Tucson dump website. There is a campground right across I-10 from the fairgrounds. LIFE IS GOOD!!! Freddy and Delcie We MAY head to Tucson about the 1st (MAY). Sandie told us about the Casino del Sol so we may land there for a couple days before we head to Diamond J's. Then, to Escapade. Not sure yet about afterwards for us. We're waiting to figure out what our daughter is going to do and when. She's talking about going to Dallas with her family. If that's the case, we need to rush there. If not, we'll slowly meander in that direction. I didn't receive anything via email other than our "ticket" to enter the fairgrounds. Same here Jeri. I remember doing a search a while back but, no results. Perhaps they hadn't finalized the line up then. I got so many updates pushing their worthless honey wagon service (available only after two days of boon docking). Think that they could have sent the class schedule wouldn't ya? We'll be heading East too...just not sure when or where after Benson. Roger Quote Roger & Lynn Rempe Class of 2012 & "Class-less"! td12class
There IS a dump station at the Pima County Fairgrounds, in addition to the full hookup sites... we are there now, and had been told about it by the office staff. Tom just went to see it with his own eyes. Yep, it's there! We're headed to Benson today... project time at Saguaro SKP park for us next 3-4 weeks. Would like to stop and see Lee and where he's hiding that ice cream machine! Perhaps a few nights across the Texas border near El Paso so we can get that state on our map. After that swing north towards Denver to visit our daughter. Finally will head toward the Quad Cities (Moline, IL) for the annual physicals and old friend visits....whew! soos
Well, we are finally coming up for air after an action packed fun filled 5 days with some of our fellow classless members. There sure was a lot of eating and drinking going on up here in Havasu. The 12 of us rented two boats for a day and tooled around the lake for 7 hours, and have watched fireworks shows for the last several nights. We have had an absolute blast (haha) for the last few days. Now everyone has left Havasu except us. We'll be here for at least another 6 weeks, enjoying the sunshine and the lake. I just found out (because I drove by it) that the Havasu Elks has a small campground. Quite nice! No hookup, which will be an issue pretty soon with the heat, but suggested donation is only $8 for any Elks coming thru town. that ok, Lee? Onthego
Hola and Buenos Dias from Baja California! Jeff and I are having the adventure of a lifetime. We're on day 7 (I think) of our 37 day tour and we're really enjoying ourselves. Unfortunately, it's next to impossible to get internet access so we haven't been able to post until now. The roads here are so narrrow and rough in places, winding through the mountains and desert (which are beautiful). One of our fellow travelers "fell" of the road to his right when an 18 wheeler passed him. Then he over-corrected and went across the road in front of another truck and out into the field about 50 yards! It was pretty scary for all of us. But they were not hurt and there was no damage to their rig or tow. Then we had one afternoon of rain that did major damage to one of the small towns we passed through. We had to cross the road with run-off water that was deep and swift moving. Yikes! But now we are at an RV Park that is absolutely an oasis. I wish I could post to my travel log right now so I could share pictures. Anyway, having a great time, meeting great people... wish you were here! IYQ
I went to Wally World yesterday and tried to spend all my money in there. I bought a Android Table and like it a lot better than My iPad Air. I spent all last night and a good share of this morning updating and installing apps. And wouldn't you know the WiFi here went on strike and worked but slow as molasses. This afternoon I'm planning on hooking up my trailer and moving it about a foot forward onto blocks to compensate for the tilt opening my slide causes. I should have done that when I first came back from Organ Pipe but it was cold and windy and all I wanted to do was get inside and get some coffee. I've also ordered a WiFi repeater that will work directly from my USB antenna. That way I can use it for all my electronic toys like phone and tablet and ipad that don't have large USP connectors or can't install the software. I just might get to my 2014 taxes one of these days before I get in trouble with the IRS again. And of course I'll need to take a vacation for a couple of days up at City of Rocks with my little trailer. That list looks impressive. Now Let's see what I actually get done. Dave is the mastermind and creator of the map. I just add folks and get to fiddle with the look of it. I want to add some more pictures of the last few years to it so will be adding those when I accumulate some and more changes to come.
