Ron and Linda
We are still in Quartzsite on Plamosa north, south side of the road. Getting real empty now. Closest neighbor is about 300 yards. Going into town now is a breeze. Will leave here Sunday and go to "Lazy D" campground in Parker to refresh then head out for Lake Havasu. Will go to the north side BLM area and pull in for a lengthy stay if its not too crowded. Hope to see some of the fireworks going on there. Seems empty in the forum with IYQ not here! Hope he gets the problem solved. Ya'll stay safe out there and we,ll see you down the road somewhere.
sandsys
I'm not sure you can see the fireworks from the north BLM area if you mean Craggy Wash. Most popular appears to be "the steps" under the power lines east of 95 south of town. There's a spot next to us and I can park my truck in it. Let me know. palamine
We are back at Rovers Roost in Casa Grande. So good to be back on full hook ups, 65 channels of tv and unlimited internet. Any worries I had about cooking four meals for 80 people have fled. The help sign up sheets are full to overflowing and we have 16 people entered in the chilli cook off. And the kitchen. Well let me tell you. There is every kind of appliance you can think of and all the cookware necessary. I had forgotten about the commercial gas stove. It's going to be fun. Remember you all are SKPs so if you are in the area and want to be fed, Wednesday - Saturday, you are welcome. IYQ
I tried to post yesterday but while I was proof reading it I must have touched something and poof I was on another page and couldn't find what I had written. I'll be leaving Organ Pipe and heading back to Deming Wednesday Morning. I need to get some maintenance done on this trailer to be ready to head back East in April. I'll send this without editing so maybe it won't go Poof. steved44
Finally got our maintenance done at Freightliner and headed out to Parker today. We made it to La Paz County park and met up with Steve (medium) and Evin and are going to get the boats out tomorrow and hit the Colorado for a while. Great to see them again as they were tied up at the Tiffin factory and couldn't make it to the class gathering. I finally got this new bus steering like the old one did and am pleased with the Freightliner shop in Phoenix. They have full hook-ups there and although not cheap, they seem to be really customer oriented and have some sharp technicians. Looking forward to the Winter Blast, and will be pulling in there Wednesday afternoon. Onthego
Our tour to Baja begins tomorrow morning. There are 21 rigs on the trip. Leaving early and caravanning across the border. First stop is Ensenada for a couple of nights. This is going to be an adventure for sure. How many pesos to a dollar? Got to do some math. LOL. Back in the US on March 18. Hope we can get some wifi while on the trip and they said our satellite tv might not work. Yikes! Travel safe everyone. Roger & Lynn
Moved to Coolidge, AZ yesterday for some FHU action. After takin' in a well earned Steveeeezzzz I stepped outside the rig to survey our new kingdom. All of a sudden I see Dave and Diane pull in from their stint at a Freightliner check up in Phoenix. What a great surprise! Enjoyed a few cranberries a warm evening with 'em and all that goes with that! They're heading to the SKP park in Benson in a few days. We're planning on stopping there ourselves after taking in the Tucson Escapade. I just hope that there will be room at the inn there as I'm sure there will be other Escapees with that in mind. Steve, glad to hear that they got your steering thing adjusted! Tina and Jeff, you guys have a safe and fun trip to Baja...wish that we didn't have to scratch that, it sure would've been fun. Just cross your fingers that the folks are all going the opposite direction. We're still trying to figure out a place to dump and fill after Escapade. I'm sure we'll be needing it by then.
