It is the first holiday weekend of the season in the US for the part-timers. Here in Minnesota we are having perfect weather for it. All the more reason to stay home. :)

We're definitely in your corner, Lee. Keep us posted.

Weather is nice today. It's the holidays weekend that I wish it would rain hard. Maybe it'll rain like that tomorrow and all these people will go home. It's in the forecast so this time I hope the weatherman is right.

Thanks for all the encouragement. I'm not real worried about the blood. There was one small spot this morning but I think I have found the culprit. One of my inhalers seems to be causing the blood. Trouble is that it's the one that works the best. I think it just works too good and dries the lung tissue to the point of irritation. A couple years ago when I was having all that respitory trouble out at the slabs and during our Q get-to-gather when Denise got so sick I was coughing up blood. It was because I was coughing so hard I tore lung tissue as I coughed. It cleared up just as soon as I got rid of the cough. Now I'm not coughing hard but the inhaler really loosens the phlegm up fast and it comes up real easy. I think it is exposing the millions of tiny capillaries in the lung and allowing them to ooz blood. The CT I took yesterday should expose that but because every thing is closed for the holiday I won't get the results until Tuesday. If there had been anything really bad show up I think they would have called yesterday afternoon. They had time. Now if they can just figure out what is causing the shortness of breath. My oxegyn level was 97 which they said was really good and only dropped to 90 after a short walk in the hall. But I was huffing and puffing like that big bad wolf. Maybe I'm just lazy. I've been trying to walk a little faster on my morning walk but I'm not doing too well at that. I walk about 100 feet then have to stop and get my breath. I'll beat this. Just you wait and see.

LOL!!! Brutal but I get it. We still have some friends that are workin for the weekends so I will wish them luck with the wether I guess. We opted to find a place in a small town that there would be NO reason to bring a family and hide out here until everyone goes home from the more popular areas.

Hey Y'all send some of that rain this way. We got one of those 6" rain falls here. 6 drops 6" apart. Everything is bone dry here. We have been keeping the drip systems going every day trying to keep things alive. The temperature has dropped back into the 80's which is nice but they are expected to go back in the high 90's again this week. I guess I'll have to break down and plug into the electric and start paying electric bill again to run the AC. Not much going on here over the week end. We sure don't have to worry about the Memorial Day crowds. The park is almost empty compared to what it is in the winter. I'd like to be able to head to high country but it don't look like that will be any time soon. Enjoy your Rain. Go out and stomp in the puddles.

We thought we were going to be making a run to Phoenix where my Mom has just been admitted to hospice care. But they say she probably won't last long enough for us to make the drive and her remains will be immediately shipped to a research facility in California. My brothers are there but they are not planning any kind of ceremony. So I guess we're not going after all. Mom has dementia and has not recognized me for many years; I already feel like I lost her long ago so I think I will be OK with not going now. I sure hope so.

Linda the same thing happened to me when Mom passed. You have no control of what's happening in Phoenix or no responsibility for what happened. Just take care of your self now with the thought that she will no longer suffer and is in a much better place now.

We can't shake crummy weather. It has rained for the last 5 or 6 days. Not constant just afternoon rain. Under flash flood warnings and I hope this is the last time we are in a state park over a holiday. With the loud music, cornhole tournament with PA system, and people walking through our site Monday can't get here quick enough.

Linda, we are sorry to hear the news about your Mother.

Linda - So sorry for what you are going through. Losing a loved one is hard and I agree with Lee. Right now you need to think about what's best for you. There's nothing you can about what's going on in Phoenix. You take care and we'll certainly be thinking about you.

It feels like it's going to be a scorcher today and the humidity is high for here. 30%. That would be.just fine back east but when you're use to 15% out here it feels darn right muggy. I haven't coughed up any blood this morning but I'm beginning to wheeze again. I'll stay off the inhaler anyway until I get the report back on the CT so let it wheeze. After I get the physical next week I'll try the inhaler again but at a much reduced rate. I'll only use it enough to stop the wheezing and not use it as a daily maintenance device. The other inhaler makes me hoarse and cost $327 a month and don't work near as well or as fast.

The birds I'm feeding around here are running me broke. They are hungry little buggers. They are also messy eaters they throw seed in every direction while they eat. That will give me something to tinker with. I'll try to figure a way to make the flying seeds drop back in the feeder instead of out on the ground. However, it doesn't go to waste. There are hungry mouths waiting on the ground to gobble it up as soon as it falls.

Linda - My Mom also had dementia for the last couple years of her life and most of the time didn't have a clue who I was. In a way it was really easy when she died because I knew she was so much happier. It's a sad time but wonderful that the plans were in place to have the body donated. That's what we are planning. Hugs to you girl.

It hit 97* today. It finally convinced me to plug into the current bush and turn the AC on. Ahhhhhh. When I got the power cord out to plug in. It lacked just 18" of being long enough to reach the plug. I had to get the 30 ft extension out to go that extra 18". If I move the trailer forward then the sewer connection would be beyond my sewer gate. Oh well, that extension has been riding around in my storage pod for about 6 years. I guess it's time to put it to use. I didn't hear from the doctors office today. I guess no news is good news but I'm going over there tomorrow an get a copy of the report. I don't trust those gals at the reception desk. The're too busy filing their fingernails.

It's only 9AM and already a scorcher out there. I'm sure glad I plugged in yesterday. I don't have anything on the chalk board for today except going to the Doctor's office and see what the results of the CT were. right now I'm sitting in my shop playing with the computer. The wind is coming from the East so it's making my ceiling tiles jump up and down. I guess it thinks it has to keep me awake with all the banging. The tiles are only laid in the frames on the ceiling and they are lite so the faintest breeze makes them rise and fall. So I guess Ill lock this place up and go to town.
