  1. Here now and planning on going tomorrow. Purchased a 4 day pass. Was thinking of just going on weekdays as I would think the weekends will be REALLY busy. So I figure 2 days in each park to make sure that we have time to see what there is to offer. We are planning on taking public transportation in and back to the rig. A lot less expensive then the $25 day parking, plus I do not need to try to find a spot. I read where security going in can take a while. How long of a weight should I expect? I am thinking of getting there around noon to 2pm and staying atleast to the fireworks program.
  2. Interesting. I’m under 55 but my wife is over 55. It was know and we were never asked to leave. But then again every park has there own set of rules.

    DRV accident

It is in the DRV owners group on FB.
  4. We get to spend 4 days at the Happiest Place on Earth. So excited! Any tips from people who have been there? https://www.m109riders.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=383732&d=1557809597
  5. I use SD to register everything and vote. But I use the Livingston, TX address for everything else.
  6. The few 55 parks I have been in never asked for ID. I just stated that my wife was over 55. I think the big thing is that you are older with no kids. A lot of those parks have time limits on when grandkids come and visit. But they would have the right to ask to look at your ID to make sure that you qualify for staying.
  7. It seems like it is going through tires a bit fast. Why do you think this is? I would think that they are not like W speed rated tires with super soft compound. As long as a golf cart could fit I would think you would be fine. Standard Golf Cart – dry weight 600 lbs. At least this is what Google comes up with.
  8. Same thing happened with the motorcycle forum I was on. It was bought out by a Canadian company. They also own many forums. This buy out was done a little while ago.
  9. I agree. If you are that remote you need to be creative. Just kill them with kindness. They might even get asked more then you think if they are that remote.
  10. I know your in NBEV. So I thought I would post this Incase you have not see it. New Age Beverages Corp (NASDAQ:NBEV) Director Reginald Kapteyn sold 18,000 shares of the stock in a transaction on Tuesday, April 16th. The stock was sold at an average price of $5.20, for a total transaction of $93,600.00. Following the transaction, the director now owns 68,812 shares in the company, valued at approximately $357,822.40. The sale was disclosed in a filing with the SEC
  11. In 4 years of full timing this has not been an issue. 99.9% I have it delivered to the campground. They deliver it to my rig or drop it off at the office. Most TT takes every carrier but USPS but charges a $2 fee a handling fee at most of them. If they do not take USPS you have to do a general delivery at your local USPS. But make sure that they do it. They also only do it for a short period of time, under 30 days. Anything over that you will need to open up a PO Box. This is not a firm rule but is what I have been told by many post offices. But if you only have a couple packages over a month or two I would think you would be fine. Just remember they are doing you a favor by receiving your mail and holding it for you.
  12. I just had wine delivered at a store. They had them as alternative places to have them shipped as the package needed to be signed for. And Amazon has boxes in several retail locations that you can utilize. I either have them shipped to me at my lot or picked them up at the post office under general delivery. Soon a drone will just drop it at your door.
  13. This might be a good resource for you. https://www.campgroundviews.com/
  14. I was thinking of replacing my cheap low light above the exterior door. My goal is to find one that has: 1. A brighter light that has a photocell and motion detector 2. Has a video WiFi camera in it that records with the motion detector and can be viewed live by smart device 3. Powered by a 12volt supply 4. That is water proof This one seems to be the best quality I have found, but it does not fill all of my requirements, https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/accessories/apd/aa140367?mkwid=sIaQhiEJM&pcrid=101952148149&pkw=&pmt=&pdv=t&slid=&product=AA140367&pgrid=28021835709&ptaid=pla-354070168456&VEN1=sIaQhiEJM,101952148149,901q5c14135,t,,AA140367,28021835709,pla-354070168456&VEN2=,&dgc=st&dgseg=bsd&acd=12309152537501410&gclid=CjwKCAjw_MnmBRAoEiwAPRRWW1Il16zkKvajXFMasZoNHbsU-U0y42FFLASqzOjvlDZeprjK86NNlRoCk6wQAvD_BwE or this one that seems new and cheaper built, but it also does not fill all of my requirements also, https://www.amazon.com/Security-Integrated-Floodlight-Surveillance-Waterproof/dp/B07NL5M4ZV/ref=asc_df_B07NL5M4ZV/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=343234125040&hvpos=1o19&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4204607657946467458&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031545&hvtargid=pla-727007326051&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=68968886317&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=343234125040&hvpos=1o19&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4204607657946467458&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031545&hvtargid=pla-727007326051#customerReviews
  15. I would think it is all based upon the state that you reside in. Have you tried calling the company that holds your 401k and asking them this question? As I am sure that they have ALOT of people that now live in warmer all year round states.

    WTF Tesla

I’m a full time RVer and love taking factory tours when traveling this great country. I’m on the West Coast for the first time. I have loved the idea and vision of Tesla. No where on Tesla’s website does it say anything about factory tours. In Googling it I found out that I had to email them at factorytours@tesla.com. I even read that the tours were booked up for 4-6 weeks, so plan ahead. And right after emailing them I received this email from them: Thank you for contacting Tesla Factory Tours! We can’t wait to show you our ground breaking facility and how we make our revolutionary vehicles. Due to the overwhelming amount of tour requests we receive, our team will respond to you within the next 48 business hours. Our schedule fills up 2 to 4 weeks in advance so unfortunately, last minute requests cannot be accommodated. If you are a Tesla owner, please provide us with your reservation number or VIN for us to reference your account. Thank you and we look forward to your visit. Tesla Tours I then received this one a day after this email: Hello, Thank you for your interest in visiting us at the Tesla Factory in Fremont! Currently, our tour program is only available for Roadster, Model S, Model X, and Model 3 owners. It is not open to reservation holders, shareholders, or the general public at this time. If you are a current Tesla owner, please reply to this email with the following information: First and last name associated with your vehicle Your VIN or RN, and the email address that is linked to your Tesla Account Once we verify your ownership, I can assist in scheduling your tour. Tours are non-transferrable. Due to the overwhelming tour demand, we will not be able to respond if you’re not a current Tesla owner. However, just like you, we are eager to for the chance to show off our amazing factory and will notify you once it is available to the public. Thank you for your understanding and support. Sincerely, Tesla Tours Factory Tour Program Fremont Factory | 45500 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538 factorytours@tesla.com In reading there first response it states nothing about having to own a Tesla. Only they are booking out 2-4 weeks. Then they drop the you have to be a Tesla owner. This was my WTF moment. I have toured a Ford, GM, Toyota and Honda’s plant. And there are millions more of these cars on the road vs Tesla. Are there that many Tesla owners that travel to take a tour? How many tours do they do a day? Just seems very odd that they do not offer tours to the general public. When I bought my DRV, I took a factory tour before I ordered my rig. You would think that Tesla would want non owners to take the tour and impress them with there manufacturing procedures. Heck they might even have people sign up to by a car at the end of the tour. Eventually people could even buy and drive away there brand new Tesla. I mean Farrari & Lamborghini have factory tours. I have always wanted to buy a Tesla, but this gives me pause as it appears to me that Tesla thinks that there sh@t does not stink. Maybe they will let us common folk tour there plant one day. Rant over

    DRV accident

What was the TV? I read about this on FB since it has posted. But I do not recall what he was towing with and what damage the TV had.
  18. Thanks for the tips. Sorry your thread was hyjacked srogers.
  19. I agree that health insurance is the mystery factor. Are you planning on returning to the same area after your adventure for a couple of years? We have only been on the road for 4 years now. No end in sight at the moment. We also have no children, by choice. And because of that we were able to retire early. The advise that really sparked the early retirement was full timers stating they wish they started the journey earlier. As one of them had health issues that took them off the road. Life is short and you should enjoy it and be happy. My wife and I were educators also. I used to be a mechanic 8 years prior to switching professions. I plan on being in the San Francisco area in about 6-8 weeks, any tips on things to see and do or even things or places to avoid. I hope you have as much fun on your adventure as we are. Sounds reasonable to me.
  20. Funny as the border patrol on 10 right at the border just waived us by and did not ask anything. And we also had a couple of apples that we bought from Blythe, CA.
  21. As stated, you are cutting it really close. We started our mailing service about 5 months before we moved. I also flew out to that state and changed our DLs. We bought everything new, so the vehicles were registered in the new state also. One of the reasons that we did this was that on paper we had already moved. So “7 months” we did not reside on that state. But we did leave that state in July. So I did not have to pay taxes in that state. You also need to decide where you want your domicile set up. I am with Escapees out of SD. If you just Google or search on here under mailing Service or domicile you will see pages of threads and information. There is a lot of good information on this site.
  22. I read on there website that they offered a SD address. The big plus to me about Escapees is that I have a SD & TX mailing addresses. And lol of my retirement and investment accounts all excepted the TX mailing address. Where my previous SD address with Teri Lund was kicked back because of the Patriot Act. Also having a Box Elder address avoids the wheel tax. Like an $80 savings a year.
