  1. Let me warn you about Pet Smart. Each one doesn't necessarily carry the same prescription products. We learned this the hard way. Call before you go to any Pet Smart to see if they have what you need in stock. Also, when we had a prescription card it expired in 6 months. FYI.
  2. Why carry the food with you? We keep an extra bag but order our food from Chewy. I don't know if Chewy does prescription dog food but someone does...............Just need to plan where to pick it up. Many cgs will hold packages for you. If not, you pick the pkg up from UPS or Fedex office.
  3. Flexibility is the key. In one 3 week period a few years ago we experienced winds from a hurricane that was offshoret Asateague, drove down to the Outer Banks and were evacuated from the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. We just left, 2 hurricanes in 3 weeks was too much FYI-th second hurricane flooded the main rod at Cape Hatteras and I understand from friends that people were kayaking on the road..............Be flexible..............
  4. It goes from Eastport on the border north.............
  5. Thanks. I've entered you in my spreadsheet............
  6. We are interested in traveling to Dawson Creek on the west side of Banff/Jasper looks like it would be CA 95 partway. Any comments would be appreciated.
  7. First thing we did was pull our sofa out and put in 2 Lzyboy recliners!!!!
  8. We were there on a Caravan in 2008 and never felt we had enough time to really explore. We didn't miss anything important just felt we wanted more. This time we will go to Glacier Bay, fly over Denali etc. Will do some tourist spots, loved the reindeer farm and the museum in Anchorage, so much more to see this time. Planning to do a lot of boondocking, 6 days boondocking, 1 day in camp.
  9. We are going to Alaska this year and plan to be in Alaska in early June, staying to mid-late August, maybe a bit longer. We are starting from Phoenix or Tucson in late March. A nice leisurely trip.
  10. Contact this chapter of Escapees: http://mexicanconnection08.com/
  11. Rather than get involved with potential legal fees I would just move the accounts.
  12. We opened up Ira and brokerage act at vanguard in July. No problems with addressing
  13. You can just go to the library and get a book.
  14. Escapade has live entertainment as do most of the rallies. You could give a seminar on Magic.
  15. I would look at allstays.com and check off "open all year". You will also find many Mom and Pop cgs along the road that might be open, they do not advertise. Once you get out of the north you should be fine. Since you are new to this you will be able to travel 250-350/day without exhausting yourself. Since this is a new trailer and you are buying it from the factory they should have a small cg to stay at, probably only electric, to check out the trailer. Take advantage of it for at least 1-2 night. Nothing worse than getting on the road and something not working or your not knowing how to use/start it.
  16. I towed a uhaul once and finding parking at a motel was a challenge, had to park several times in a truck stop several blocks away. Since they are driving out they could take basics with them.
  17. I don't know whether they are buying from a dealer or not and neither do you, my bad. It may be they never thought of staying in it, newbies. Parking at motels with a trailer will be difficult, most motels don't have a parking lot layout conducive to park a car with a trailer.
  18. Why don't you just buy stay in it at a campground? Then there is no problem. You should stay in it a few nights at the dealer to make sure everything is working OK. Not just pick it up and go.
  19. I subscribe to 3-4 recipe sites but if you Google 1 pot and/or 5 ingredients or less recipes you should start finding them. I don't even bother with cookbooks any more, there is so much on the internet.
  20. I don;t know about over a campfire but there a lot of recipes published as 1 pot and/ 5 ingredients or less.
  21. The other reason to have a list is if you need to do each others "jobs" due to injury or illness.
  22. I believe you are thinking of a list you carry with you and check off as you do things. We just have ours posted in obvious spots and review them as we go along. We don't physically check things off. I have seen some people that use their phone with a list on it. We have lists inside the car so we don't miss a step in setting up the car; on the door of MH to review that everything is done prior to coming inside; on the refrig to review that everything is completed inside(listed back to front in items to do) and on the dash for the final before driving list. Also, if you are a newbie, a list will be very beneficial.
