  1. There are Escapee Parks which give Escapee members a discount and there are also Discount Parks which give you a set discount for a limited time. At Escapee Parks you will pay a lower price for daily, weekly and monthly, with no limit. The Discount Parks set their own rules as to how many days a discount will be honored. Similar to PA parks. I am not sure if there is a limit at FMCA and Good Sam Parks.
  2. We use ours for everything. Have had no problems. Which ones are you having problems with? You may need to call and have them change the address manually.
  3. Michael's(craft store) should have some foamy type stuff(8x11 size) that you could cut a hole in and place over the drain outlet. We have the same situation and never had anything come in. There are plenty of other locations for access if the little guys want in.
  4. AGM cannot be mounted upside down, that is the only restriction. Many vehicles are coming with them now. The no maintenance feature is wonderful.
  5. There are also AGM batteries at around $200 each, no maintenance, 100 AH.
  6. Thanks for the clarification. I will read your guide with interest.
  7. Maybe I don't understand what a signal booster is. I have what I consider 2 boosters.1) a Weboost and 2) an Alfa network long range booster. Never been asked to register them nor have I.
  8. Maybe I am missing something. Why would your register a booster? With whom?
  9. If this was feasible a lot of people would do this. I have never seen one on an RV.
  10. You need to make 2 decisions: Why do you want solar? Are you going to install it yourself? These 2 decisions will determine the education level needed(more is better).
  11. Did he come and look at it?? There are a lot of scammers on Craigslist and they are pretty slick. This sound like a scam, I would contact Craigslist and see what they say. I have heard of people being given bogus Cashiers Check. Tell him you want cash only. I don't think the bank can verify the check since it will need to go through a clearing house. We sold a truck(MDT-$29000) and told the guy we wanted cash, he showed up with the cash.
  12. IMO you should buy a TT or 5th that you want and replace the mattress with yours.
  13. What is your intended use? Major boondocking? Just to keep the battery charged in storage? Residential or propane refrigerator? Number of electronic devices? Are you going to install it yourself or have someone install the system? We need information. You need to get yourself educated a bit. I personally like: http://www.rvsolarelectric.com https://amsolar.com/
  14. We are all guilty of taking threads off track. I find it very frustrating. Even more so, I drop out of threads that the OP doesn't participate in after posting the questions. End of rant.
  15. The suggestion wasn't unwelcomed but the question was about Hartford, this is how threads get so off track.
  16. The subject was specifically about Hartford. Where are you coming from?
  17. I am using about 30G per month, we don't stream. Never been slowed down but that is dependent on tower usage. Never heard anything from ATT.
  18. Thanks. I'll give them a call when I get a chance, we don't renew until October so no rush. The one thing I didn't like is they wouldn't just do the RV, needed a car also.
  19. Out of curiosity I just did an online quote for supposedly full-time Rv insurance. I was surprised by the low number. I need to call to make sure we are talking apples to apples but was wondering if anyone had any comments on them. Thanks
  20. When you are imagining yourself in an RV think about 2-3 days of rain when you are inside all the time. Do not believe any salesman, no matter what they say. Come back to us and verify.
  21. Good move. If I recall correctly I asked my insurance agent that question and he said it was difficult to get insurance on an unoccupied house. We both agreed that the conversation we had did not exist. We had been traveling at that time about 4-6 months a year and discovered our house would be considered unoccupied. Sometimes conversations are not meant to be.
  22. Your first RV will be the "learning" RV, buy used. Once you determine your RV style then you can upgrade to what you think is your "final" RV. RV Boot Camp would be a good start.
  23. If you don't get an answer here try tv4rv.com, he would know.
