Found on "Google"
Use your email and in the "TO" box
Combine your recipient's 10 digit phone number with one of these domains:
  1. Alltel: @message.alltel.com (or @mms.alltelwireless.com for picture messages)
  2. AT&T: @text.att.net.
  3. Sprint: @messaging.sprintpcs.com.
  4. T-Mobile: @tmomail.net.
  5. Verizon: @vtext.com (or @vzwpix.com for photos and video)

Thanks for this tip.

I sent both mms and sms to Verizon phone and both worked perfectly.

I guess I will need to ask everyone who their carrier is so I  can  text from the PC.

How do our phones know what network someone is using? I can see in a reply there is a header or something but when I  text from my contact list it is just a phone number. Now I am more curious than anything else.................
