Wanderin
Well .... here we are ... still in Florida. Been here the whole year of 2014 and will stay thru the winter. But one fantastic note.... I had another pet scan and psa .... and I have been found Cancer free!!! I have to be tested for quite a while ... but the radiaion treatments and all that I went through worked!!! It was a life changing moment when the doctor said..."You've got cancer and will die if you go on that trip." We had planned a trip from Florida to California to Seatle Wa and then a cruise and then tour Vancouver Canada. But it didn't happen because of what the doctor said. So we stayed in Florida.... went through the treatments... I changed my diet and some other things... and what a relief to hear the doctor say..."I would say you are cancer free." I thank God for giving me and my wife this blessing. And I thank all for their prayers. God is good and the life God gives us is good. I love it!! We've been there too. It's been four years and still cancer free. Enjoy each extra day you've been given! ccsimpson
Well, keeping our fingers crossed that all goes well with finishing up our 3 week stay in the repair lot tomorrow, we should be able to leave Sat. morning. Will probably stay at Case Grande for the weekend and be at Rincon West in Tucson on Monday. Sure hope we never have to go through that again!! Still have to just drive the truck back to Mesa for a few parts on the RV when they come in, and Doug can take care of those minor things. Whew! Hope the rest you guys are finding your nice warm spot for the winter! Carol Quote The Simpsons Fulltimers from Va. Sandie & Jim
Had dinner at Garcia's with Eric and Karla. Been a long time since we've seen them so we had a lot of catching up to do. We talked about all of you and I'm pretty sure we didn't leave anybody out. They plan on joining the group in Q for a couple of nights. We don't want to miss that. hope you had a merry christmas and have happy new new year. see you in Q Edited December 27, 2014 by acoupleofboomers Quote travel safe and enjoy the rideEric and Karla Trippe w/ their dog Kora always in our thoughts2006 3650 Georgie Boy Landau.. on a F53 chassis.pulling a Malibu Maxx...w/ a kayak on top (Liquid Logic Duce Coupe) 09/16 update, after 8 yrs of fting, bought a house in Crystal Lake, IL http://acoupleofboomers.blogspot.com
soos
Eric, we are somewhat flexible on the night- I am thinking we'll see when the most people will be there, but maybe around the 22 or 23rd? We'll let everyone know, for sure when it gets a little closer. We are hooking up with Mike and Julie again tomorrow so may know more... Any sense of when you will be there? Sandie & Jim
Eric - if you're really nice you just might be able to stretch that margarita night into both nights you're there. Leave it to Sandie! She definitely has the right idea. I vote for both the 22nd AND the 23rd. Wanderin
If we do Margarita night on the 22nd or 23rd as Sue thought, perhaps we could do our Italian night on Sunday, the 25th. I thought I'd ask our spaghetti makers (Steve and Toni) what they thought ??? I think just about everyone will be there from about the 21st to the 26th. After that folks will start moving out. I saw Limoncello at Fry's!!! At $20 a bottle, I didn't stock up. Besides they only had one bottle. I don't think anyone had time to fly to Italy to pick up more bottles. Maybe Algodones?
