2/20 to April 5. We decided to extend our stay here in Mesa, AZ, at Palm Gardens. We want to explore some areas a bit further north in AZ but after checking the average weather for March at 50s during the day and 20s at night, decided that is just TOOO COLD! So we will just findmore things to do here while waiting for warmer weather.

Another day another dollar (Spent that is) I did some carving on my thumb today. I had a Swiss knife that had a very uncomfortable handle. I was sanding the sharp corners off from it when the blade protector came off and the the Swiss knife must have had a Talaban operator on it cause it took a very deep slice of my thumb. Those darn Terrorist anyway. I taped it back together and forgot about sanding the handle. Later I was using another knife and the pressure I put on the cut finger opened it up again. I think I need a transfussion. Naw, I'll just drink an extra glass of cranberry juice. It's the right color at least. And my blood is probably about half cranberry juice any way. I packed my carving tools away and decided if I do any more work it will be getting this trailer ready to move. I'm becoming an expert thumb twiddler. I wonder if I can enter my thumb in a carving contest.

We had company show up yesterday. It was kind of like a repeat of last year when the Sands got stuck in the sand except these folks needed a tow chain and a monster truck to assist. I'm wondering if they'll fess up.

They are lucky they could find a place to hook that chain without messing up a bunch of fiberglass. Dave's rig didn't have any place to fasten a chain that wouldn't damage the rig.

I just got an email from Denise. She managed to convert two Florescent light fixtures over to LED. She's proud as punch. She sent pictures and it looks like a very good wiring job. Maybe we can get her to become a permanent member of our group.

So she can convert lights for the rest of us? :)

It was the curse of Pilot Knob! and it was I! We stopped by to see Jeri / Terry / Freddie & Delcie and I went to turn the rig around and there were tire tracks where I went, but apparently they weren't 15 tons and we were :( ! Luckily Freddie was able to pull us out (with Terry's chains), and then it made our happy hour lots lots better! I always used to tell folks who worked for me that if they didn't make any mistakes I'd know they weren't trying, so guess I was really trying...

Now we're up in Borrego Springs, boondocking for a week, hanging with some (non-RVing) friends, and what a gorgeous place.

We got great tips on Borrego Springs and Anza Borrego SP and where to boondock from http://wheelingit.wordpress.com/ Great blog!

Forgot to mention that we ran into Coldsmoke just as we were leaving the Benson SKP park on our way to Yume, but they promised they would be there again when we got back (next week), so we're holding them to it.

I got energetic today and checked all my tires and aired them up to the proper pressure. But that's about all I did. This evening I took one of the cowgirls to the Italian restaurant in Brawley for dinner. Had some nice conversation then came back to the slabs. Tomorrow I'll grease my hitch and get it ready to pull out on Monday. Now if that's all I can think of for excitement I guess I should get a life but I don't know where to get one. Do they have them at Wally World?

Happy Birthday to Paul!!!

We're pulling out tomorrow. I think we're heading to Needles. We debated on whether or not to go to Palm Springs. Obviously, we really won't know where we're going until in the morning. Have a margarita for me! :D

When we moved in next to Freddie and Delcie we were only going to stay a couple days but ended up staying almost another 2 weeks! It's hard to leave good people!!

They cooked us a super meal last night! Usually when people are tired of you the food and comaraderie stop. That's the best indicator it's time to move on. However, it just got better and better next to them. Check out the food they fixed for us last night! It was the best steak EVER!! :D
