Friz
Which has better WiFi reception (distance), An Amazon TV or a generic TV with a Fire Stick plugged in? Also, is there and extender that will move a Fire Stick closer to a window? Thanks
Bill Joyce
We use a router that supports (WIFI as WAN), which lets you use a WIFI as a source and creates a local WIFI network all our devices know. When we come into a campground we can configure the router for the new campground WIFI and everything works. Look up travel routers like the Gl.inet Beryl AX, $80.90 from Walmart.com, to do this and put the router in the window. Thanks First, while some newer parks have better WiFi, generally speaking most RV parks probably will not support streaming which is why there is so much discussion about internet access (Starlink, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) on the road. As far as an extender goes just get an HDMI extension cable.
Ray,IN
You can buy an HDMI extension cable, so yes you can position a firestik closer to a window when necessary. However, the a longer extension cable (50') will result in some signal loss if an amplifier is not used. Both are available on Amazon. DanielEscobedo
Hi, Wi-Fi reception distance depends on the capabilities of the device itself rather than whether it's an Amazon TV or a generic TV with a Fire Stick plugged in. Both Amazon TV and a generic TV with a Fire Stick essentially rely on the Wi-Fi capabilities of the Fire Stick.
