RV Caulk

Recommended Posts

There are many types of caulking and sealants. I too prefer Dicor 551LSW non-sag caulk/sealant for vertical surfaces, and Dicor 501LSW self-leveling sealant for horizontal surfaces. It is designed especially for use on RV exteriors.

I never use a silicone sealant on my RV, there is a reason it's the cheapest on the shelf.

I've tried many, and Lexel is the best.  Look at the links above for the Nomad Detailer for how to apply it somewhat easily.  I used to redo the ProFlex a couple times a year.  Lexel holds up much better, but is a royal pain in the butt to apply the first time.  You can get it in clear, white, or black at Lowes or Ace Hardware.  Clear is usually available, the other two are hit and miss.
