Frogman
Hi Folks, I am trying to figure out what caulk is best for my trailer. I want a caulk for the side of the trailer and not the roof. Has anyone use this brand. Pro Flex RV caulk ? I would like to hear the pro's and con's. What other brand should I look at ? All input is welcomed,

Kirk W
I always used Dicor non-sag lap sealants. They are expensive but always worked well for us. Ray,IN
There are many types of caulking and sealants. I too prefer Dicor 551LSW non-sag caulk/sealant for vertical surfaces, and Dicor 501LSW self-leveling sealant for horizontal surfaces. It is designed especially for use on RV exteriors. I never use a silicone sealant on my RV, there is a reason it's the cheapest on the shelf. aknavy
I've tried many, and Lexel is the best. Look at the links above for the Nomad Detailer for how to apply it somewhat easily. I used to redo the ProFlex a couple times a year. Lexel holds up much better, but is a royal pain in the butt to apply the first time. You can get it in clear, white, or black at Lowes or Ace Hardware. Clear is usually available, the other two are hit and miss. Customer1
Geocel Proflex is a great caulk and is used on new Keystones at the factory. I also use Lexel on occasion because it is readily available but Lexel doesn't hold up as well.
