Hi Everyone, I have a question on what gauge wire to use for the rear tail lights. I need to make a wire hardness or two and need to know what gauge wire to use. It looks like it could be 18ga wire. The outside diameter of the wire that is on the truck is 0.100" or a little less then 1/8". I will be using a marine grade wire. From the info that I have found,16ga wire outside diameter is 0.125". I want to order the correct wire. That is the main reason for the question. All input is welcomed

Hi Folks, I am trying to figure out what caulk is best for my trailer. I want a caulk for the side of the trailer and not the roof. Has anyone use this brand. Pro Flex RV caulk ? I would like to hear the pro's and con's. What other brand should I look at ? All input is welcomed,

Hi Folks, Just want you guys to know that I am still reading all the info. The question that I do have is the following. I can understand using a cheap cutting mats, but how do you get them between the brake shoe and the drum ? You have a backing plate in the way. I see no opening. What am I missing ?

Hi Folks, Update (9/9). This is the fault that came up. Instrument cluster, MID 140 PSID 239 FM1 12. So far I have no idea what this fault is. I have followed the video with success but no success with resetting the fault. Not sure why. Any ideas guys ? Also I believe the truck has a new problem. I will start a new thread about that problem. I should have added this info. Also on the dash was this message. Volvo Link, Hardware Failure, Use Paper Logbook.

Hi Folks, I have another rookie question. My question is about dash warning light. I the center of my instrument cluster I have the word " CHECK " show up in yellow. Right now I do not know what I should check. I need some guidance. My truck is a 2012 Volvo 610 with an I shift transmission. Just last week I put in 4 new batteries. At that time everything seemed to be ok. Another question or too. When the truck is running, what should be the voltage be ? How do I find what codes are causing the "CHECK" light to come on. Thank you for the help. I have a good update. I was able to get the truck to move with the help of a switch on the dash board. I read the truck manual and it says to use only this switch when going straight. I believe the switch locks the left and right wheel together.

Hi Folks, I need your advice again. I believe that the brake shoes have rusted to the drums. The truck has been sitting for some time ( over an year ). The truck is still tandem with an I shift transmission. I the rear wheels are free because they are digging into the gravel parking spot. I have tried to move the truck backwards and then forwards. I don't want to do this to much because I don't want to damage the truck. This is a rookie question. Can the other rear axle help move the truck ? If so, how do I do that ? What else do I need to do ? All input is welcomed.

Hi Guys, Thank you for your help. The sad thing is that I can not verify that the truck contains an EC-1 coolant. How can someone verify that they have an EC-1 compatible coolant ? Still learning. Thank you for the replies.

Hello Folks, I have a 2016 Volvo with a D13 engine. My coolant level is low and I need to top of the level to the proper line on the coolant tank. The engine has the red colored coolant. I did some reading in the resource guide and did not find the answer I was looking for. Is Fleet Guard a good brand to use ? What brand have you used in your truck ? Thank you for any help,
