Replacing upper sleeper window in 2001 VNL 770

On the way home from the National Rally, I heard a rattle and figured it would be time to replace both of the Upper sleeper windows. I heard a similar rattle a while back and found the Drivers side upper sleeper window with the closing mechanism broken and the window flapping in the wind. I managed to tape it closed and continued on my merry way. (Never use them). Put new tape in it this summer (White tape didn't last as long as the black) and was biding my time till the other window or windows had issues. Well the upper passenger window flew off the truck before I could stop to secure it. (Ok maybe I waited a bit longer to stop this time.) Thought I had both windows from Vander Hags in Des Moines, but the day before I was to go pick them up they said the drivers side had been replaced with the NON Removable type. They had the passenger side out. I said fine I'd still be there to pick up the passenger side one. (Tape will have to last for a bit longer).

Got to Vander Hags and found the closing mechanism was not connected so got a bit of the previously quoted cost taken off the out the door price. (Still expensive) I plan to silicone the window to the inner seal so it won't open anyway.

NOW how in the world do  you  get the window assembly out of the body? I have searched many ways on You Tube with no success. The Resource guide shows how to repair a broken hinge, but nothing about removing a window. A guy with an International sort of showed some stuff on "Resealing" a sleeper window but  they certainly are not the same style.

I have run a plastic putty knife around the outside gasket and it all seems loose, I guess I can start cutting it out, but that's not what they did at Vander Hag's to remove the replacement. Should have asked to to the Yard Guy yesterday for tricks. Might have to wait till Monday to call and hopefully get some hints.

Any one pulled one out and put a replacement in?

Thanks,

Pry it out and pry it back in. Should have just taken the glass off the replacement and put it in the other frame. Worried about breaking it, so didn't. Took about 3 hours, but if I actually knew what I was doing it wouldn't have taken so long.

I had my sleeper window go out and my lower window go out too. It cost me about 200.00 for my mechanic to fix them. I was a little be nervous to try to take it apart and put it back together.

That's a pretty good price Cory. The window assembly alone was almost that much. Would have been more, but the window wasn't connected to the opening mechanism when they brought it out. I offered them $100, but they wouldn't take it. We compromised at the half way point between what they wanted and what I offered.  Granted this was the whole window unit including the gasket. I was most worried about dropping it from almost 12 foot in the air and busting the window. Thankfully that didn't happen.
