charlyhors
I rent out an RV on our property. It has solar electric which I built, and has water supply from our outdoor taps. Unfortunately, it has to dump every two weeks to our septic system via macerated and garden hose. I have been through three macerated in 2 years of renting. has anyone used macerated long term while boondocking? Any ideas on good ones, or other solutions? Ray,IN
There are online plans showing how to build a sewage macerater using a garbage disposal unit. Of course that means 120VAC is required. Edited October 21, 2022 by Ray,IN Quote 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom USQ40JD, ISC 8.3 Cummins 350, Spartan MM Chassis. sandsys
I don't know what brand my macerator was. What I do know is that, when it is kept running after the tank empties it can throw a circuit breaker. I thought my macerator needed to be replaced after my daughter did my dumping but the tech checked the breaker and, once he threw it back, everything worked fine. Jerry Campbell
I have a Flojet 12 volt I used once a week for 15 years before it started leaking. I got a rebuild kit for it but bought another and saved the old one for a spare. I pumped thru a garden hose a little less than a hundred feet and up in elevation 4 or 5 feet.
