Twotoes
Well after 10 years of RVing, 8 full time, 5 years in this Class A I am buying a house and getting off the road. Will need to sell my Class A. Besides this forum, what are some good ways to advertise and who are some good dealers to sell or consign with. I have heard of PPL in TX, but don't know much about them. I am located in Venice, FL. 2gypsies
Make a final trip to PPL, Houston. Ours sold within a month. They suggested a price but we knew everyone always wants to pay less so we set a higher price. Our buyer from Florida paid our asking price. You won't have to deal with phone calls, lookers and no-shows. It was very worth it to us. They get a lot of traffic coming through. When we were there to drop it off we were amazed at the busy atmosphere... people dropping off, people picking up, people looking. Here are the ones they sold along with selling price in the past two years: https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/sold-rvs
Will B.
Bought our rig via RVTrader.
sandsys
We also made a final trip to PPL in Houston to sell our Class A. Ours was from Minnesota. We also asked more than they recommended and got our asking price. It was lovely not having to do anything beyond dropping it off and waiting for payment. My van was only a slightly different experience. Since it was a conversion done by Sportsmobile in Austin, TX, we drove it there instead of to PPL. Other than that, it was the same experience. Kirk W
Check out the online RV Trader as they sell a lot of rigs and can be seen everywhere. I sold ours locally from an ad on Craig’s List. I am sure that there are some consignment dealers nearer than TX but if going that far, Motorhome Specialists in Dallas has a very good reputation. Twotoes
Thank you for all your replys. Unfortunately the deal with the purchase of the sticks and bricks house fell thru. So I guess I will be full timing in my Class A for a little while more
