KodiakJack
Found a little bit of information on diysolarforum.com. Let us know if you go that route. I looked into these batteries when you mentioned them in another thread. Most all LoFePo4 batteries will do so. The problem is recharging them at low temperatures, which the web page doesn't address. Most battery manufacturers use generic rectangular prismatic LiFePO4 cells. Battle Born is the exception, they use spiral wound cells like the ones found in Teslas and other electric vehicles. Battle Born is assembled in the US, but their cells are made in China like everyone else's.
Vladimir
They do charge at low temperatures. I think I might buy a small one and test it. I just assumed that they would charge in cold weather. The answer is YES. The answer from the dealer on charging temperature.............. Azimuth Solar March 13, 2019 at 3:04 pm Reply Hi Tim! Yes you can. The batteries can be discharged and charged anywhere in the range of -40 to 65C. KodiakJack
Completed the upgrade a couple weeks back and all has been well. Both my Magnum inverter/charger and EPEVER solar charger controller were easy to program after a bit of 'how to' research. Here are a couple photos.
