Slixter
I have a 2012 Volvo 780. I want to put my dash cam near the top of the windshield but the only power in the overhead console (CB and Acc, plug) is direct to the battery. Has anyone removed the left or right side trim from the forward pillars? I tried but felt like I was going to break something. If. Can remove it I can feed power down through there. Steve from SoCal
Don't you want constant power? Fuse the power source in the overhead. Many cams record while parked if they sense motion. rynosback
I tucked, pushed in my wire just under the headliner and pillar cover and then run it to my cigarette lighter. But I manually plug it in when traveling and unplug it when parked. Wrknrvr
If your cam is on 24/7. You could catch a actor that was not supposed to be near your truck. I would take power off the cb wires and fuse them. Then let it on. Just thinking , Vern
