The last post was in 2019. I plan to use Escapees in TX as my domicile starting in January, and I'm really concerned about having problem with my credit cards, banks, and brokerages. I'll be traveling overseas so trying to resolve issues could be problematic to say the least. Can anyone recommend a particular credit card company, etc. that doesn't have these issues? I can try using a friend's brick and mortar address, but the whole idea of using a PMB was to not have to trouble a friend. So it's frustrating, to say the least! Thanks in advance! Eric It depends on your financial institution's interpretation of the Patriot Act. If they will not accept the PMB address, most will allow you to use the physical address of an immediate family member as the address for the account and use the PMB address as a mailing address. Any questions you have can be sent to Clubbusiness@escapees.com and we will be happy to help you!
TXiceman
We had our accounts and brokerage with Wells Fargo before we retired and went full-time with the Escapees address. We switched over to the Livingston address and no one questioned it. Bank, brokerage, insurance, driver license and carry license all accepted the new address without question. Ken New accounts are treated differently from old accounts where you are just changing your address. Linda Then it looks like the trick is to get everything set up before you go full time. Kirk W
The federal banking laws are the same for all accounts and institutions. There are differences in how the people deal with those requirements, even between branches of the same company. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... MisterPercolator
And any updates for people geting or renewing CDL licenses? I've seen some people saying DPS clerks won't accept the Texas address. I've seen others saying it's OK
