Wrknrvr
I will be changing the two thermostats in our n14 in a few weeks. The parts are on the way and will install them in a few weeks. On the Cummins n14 there is a water transfer tube that has to be taken off at the same time. There is a o'ring at each end of that tube that should be replaced. But I am curious as to what to use when the new o'rings are installed. Pure silicone lube or what. I have searched the web but so far have not found the answer. Thanks in advance,. Imurphy907
Not sure what is recommended. But I have used anything from motor oil, vaseline, silicon spray, axle grease. basically, anything to lube it up upon assembly. 2016 Road Warrior 420 2001 Volvo VNL 660 Alaska Based.
