Shallow Draft
My 04 Volvo has a passenger door issue. I cannot open it from the outside. It works fine from the inside and the locks seem to work as they should with the remote and manually.. The door handle has tuck in the past but as soon as I opened it from the inside it returned to near normal. It has always seemed a bit stiff but worked. Looking for ideas thanks 2004 Volvo 630, Freedomline, Rear view camera, Max Brake, Jackalopee, 38 ft 4 horse LQ Platinum, 40ft Jayco Talon toy hauler Http:/www.flickr.com/photos/shallow_draft/ Https://flic.kr/p/fqhyAN You are not lost if you don't care where you are!! Pat & Pete
Sounds like a little lube would go a long way . I don't know about your Volvo , but , you might have to pull the panel to do a decent job or maybe there's a few holes available in the back post side , close to the handle . That's the way it's been on the trucks I've had to work on . Goes around , comes around .
Shallow Draft
Thanks I will give that a try in the morning. It does feel like it is sticking.. I will try some silicone spray and see if that helps. 2004 Volvo 630, Freedomline, Rear view camera, Max Brake, Jackalopee, 38 ft 4 horse LQ Platinum, 40ft Jayco Talon toy hauler Http:/www.flickr.com/photos/shallow_draft/ Https://flic.kr/p/fqhyAN You are not lost if you don't care where you are!! atv_idiot
Same thing happened to my buddy's 780. When we pulled the door apart the actuator rod from the outer handle to the latch was dangling. There is a plastic end busted off the rod. Super easy fix. Volvo Part # is 8143976 and my cost was 12.63 Also found this by searching the part # https://class8truckparts.com/volvo-truck-rod-8143976.html

So far it just seems stuck. I suspect that if it had the broken end then the handle would be free to move. I am trying to avoid taking the door apart. I will try the lube first then take the door panel off. 2004 Volvo 630, Freedomline, Rear view camera, Max Brake, Jackalopee, 38 ft 4 horse LQ Platinum, 40ft Jayco Talon toy hauler Http:/www.flickr.com/photos/shallow_draft/ Https://flic.kr/p/fqhyAN You are not lost if you don't care where you are!!
