LiveWorkDream
Does anyone know if there is a guide to British Columbia's mountain roads, similar to the Mountain Directory West guide for the U.S.? We plan to some exploring in BC on our way to Alaska. Thanks! Rene & JimExploring North America since 2007. SKP #103,
SWharton
I checked into it a few years ago and could not find one. Let us know if you do.

We don't have that many route choices, so a sign at the top, telling you to use lower gears is about all you're going to get. I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here. LindaH
This isn't exactly like the Mountain Directory -- it's set up more along the lines of the Milepost -- but it does give some information on steep grades, plus lots of other useful information for a particular route: https://www.milebymile.com/ LindaH 2014 Winnebago Aspect 27K 2011 Kia Soul
Darryl&Rita
Google Maps does have an elevation graph, but you need to pretend you're using a bicycle. After entering the departure and destination info, select the bike icon. A graph will appear, with all the changes. Bill w/bus
Milepost has the info you need. Don't go without Milepost. I know its written for the advertisers but the info is there and pretty complete. noteven
http://www.destinationhighways.com/default.htm Take a gander at Destination Highways website. It is intended for motorcycle riding but could give you some roads of interest to plan a route. Lots of community websites will have local interest information or links for visitors. "Are we there yet?" asked no motorcycle rider, ever.
