DanBree
That will depend on what you are planning on pulling, and if it can be adjusted to fit to an HDT frame. This hitch has a very specific width requirement. When I looked at this for my truck, I needed to make sure it would fit onto with my existing rv 5th wheel hitch frame and light assembly, and have the receiver fit below the light setup. In my case, the widths did not quite work, and the receivers wouldn't clear my light assembly. I had a local company install a weld-on 16k hitch with a 2" receiver and the receiver sits just below my light assembly. I can send pics if you PM me your email. MrSeas
Do you really need that high of a capacity hitch? 3" adapters are a bit $$$ . Double check the width and finished height of this hitch. You can get 15 to 16k capacity on a less expensive receiver!
lockmup68
or if you already have a custom built bed with 3/16-1/4 plate, just weld in a receiver tube and add some bracing.
