docj Posted June 29, 2016 Report Share Posted June 29, 2016 There appears to be a very serious vulnerability in the entire Symantec product line that opens computers up to to attack even if the user doesn't click on any dangerous emails. Just receiving them might be enough. Some people are saying these problems are as bad as it gets. They still have some free tools like Power Eraser that are good for a backup check. I use Defender, coupled with the paid for Malwarebytes Premium and their free beta antiransomeware all running together. No problems for years now.
