I decided to change the scenery for a couple of days and drove up to City of Rocks today. It's a little chilly and I forgot to bring my heavy jacket. Things just wouldn't feel natural if I didn't forget something. I spent most of the afternoon sitting out side watching the world go by. I'll put a sweatshirt on under my light jacket and star gaze a little before turning in. I've also either forgot or lost the list of planned stops on my trip to Iowa. Tomorrow I'll do that list all over again the select parks to match the stops. Sometime before I leave I'll call each park to make sure they are still in business but won't make reservations unless they are near a large city. Reservations are aginst the boondockers code of ethics.

Tina and I ate lunch at Lambert's Cafe yesterday here in Foley, Al. I know a few have eaten at Lambert's Cafe before but you that haven't I think it's a must do. Back last June we ate at the one in Ozark, Mo. so we had to do it again when we were this close. The portions are great and the "throwed rolls" are the size of a softball. We had lunch and dinner yesterday and still have leftovers. LOL. If you get a chance to go you can't miss it. There are only three and the third one is in Sikeston, Mo.

One of the coldest mornings we've had this "winter". 39 degrees and could be a little colder tomorrow. Sounds like a beach day. LOL.

Travel safe everyone.

Oh boy, I've been off here a while because I couldn't get on this part of the forum. I tried everything and nothing worked!! Finally today I upgraded to windows 10, and what do you know it worked. I don't know what else I may have screwed up in the process, but at least this works. We were supposed to leave Prescott last week, but Carol had to have an emergency surgery on St. Patricks day to get rid of a baaaaad gaul bladder! She has had a few bouts with it lately, but a bad one on the morning of the 17th got us to the emergency room. The hospital in Prescott Valley was great and all of the staff were really nice to us poor outsiders. We were in at 9:00AM, and out by 9:00PM that day, and it couldn't have come off any better than that. Doing great now and we will leave here on Friday to head back to Oklahoma. Looks like we will meet up with Mike & Julie this week, so we are looking forward to that. Carol has 3 cousins here, so we have had a good time catching up with all of them.

Toni & Doug, glad the wedding went off well

Lee, those levelers will be a great addition to your rig. I just had a new person park beside me today and it took him the better part of an hour to get his rig leveled. Wore me out!!

Jeri & Teri, just looking at the map, and there was a streak coming across the country. Then I realized it was you guys. Never saw anyone get out of tornado alley so fast. Ha Ha

Lamberts mmmmmmmmmmmmm good!!

We are glad to hear Carol is doing well. My brother had his removed back when it was major surgery and was out of action for weeks. Big scar. It was great to have family there too.

Steve, We're glad to hear that Carol is doing well after gettin' that pesky gall bladder out. Being that it was St Paddy's Day I couldn't help but wonder if that g.b. was green...ouch! :P

I had my gall bladder out when I was 22 and it was a big deal and a big scar. Amazing what they can do nowadays.

The gall bladder surgery sure has improved. Terry has a big long scar from where he had it done years ago but our daughter's scar is almost nothing. Thank goodness for advancement in medicine. Hope Carol recovers quickly. I'm sure she'll feel much better now that it's gone too.

Me too, Toni. I think I was in the hospital almost two weeks. Sure glad to hear Carol is doing so good. And I know how happy she'll be not to have that pain anymore.

Thanks for all the well wishes for Carol. It is amazing the things that can be done nowdays and she is doing fine, Even got in a 6 mile bike ride yesterday. Everything except getting on the FORUM!! I've been trying to get on for 3 days now and all i can get to is the classless class, but not the individual posts. I've tried internet explorer, chrome, and firefox with no luck. I managed to get on it with my phone, but the buttons are too small for my hands and it doesn't work very well. Now all of a sudden i got on. Hmmmmm We are leaving to meet up with Mike & Julie for lunch, so I'll have to try again later. Steve

Interesting day today .... long and tiring. We reserved the U-haul trailer for the trip up north and spent the rest of the day with Terry's mom fixing one thing or the other. Had a terrible lunch at Outback and then had dinner with Terry's mom at her senior living facility. That's when we both realized that the lunch at Outback wasn't so bad. She's in a pretty spendy place so I was surprised but she thinks the food is great and so do all her friends. That's all that really matters. So, tomorrow we're getting with my brother and wife, then Easter with Terry's family and Monday we have a new windshield put in the motorhome. Busy, busy ..... We're also getting together with Sandi & Jim plus Jan & Bill plus Kay & Dan on Monday for lunch. Now that'll be fun!
