Hey Jeri, have you and Janice been doing your RAIN DANCE again. :P Seaside, OR looks almost like Mexico Beach did a few years ago.

Joe

I dug out my good raincoat yesterday but need to buy a new rain hat before I'm ready to deal with that kind of weather again.

Joe

It's SUNNY and beautiful where we are. However, when we were heading south towards Mexico Beach, there were dark clouds in the distance. The closer we got and the darker the clouds. Just as we entered the city limits those clouds opened up and it poured. It poured all the way though until we were about 10 miles south of there in St. Joe. I'm glad we didn't have plans to stop. We would have gotten soaked ..... again.

Hey Jeri, it poured in Houston too! We got 7.22 inches of rain in one day....YIKES! At least is was a good water test for the 5th wheel..... no leaks :-)

I wondered how you two were doing with all that water and for it to have no where to go... stay dry!

We too have had ample opportunity to come to the conclusion that we have no leaks either. It can stop now.

The jello got stirred and we are not going along the bottom but through the middle. We haven't been to SKP Livingston yet and I think that I would find the tour interesting. After that we are going to do a loop from Benson down to Tubac and Sierra Vista, over to Ajo and to Yuma before we do Casa Grande for Christmas. Probably back to Yuma in the new year.

We are slowing down for the winter. It's funny to say that when it's 84 degrees and sunny out. We'll be in Ft. Pierce, Fl. for the month of November. Here is where we are staying.

I'm up at the cosmic campground with a friend tonight. He is still out playing with the telescope but it got too cold for me so I came in. Cosmic camground is 130 miles north of Deming on hwy 180 neat the AZ border just before you start climbing up into the white mountains. I'm not going to change my pin because we have to go back to Deming in the morning. The weather man says it will go down to 32 tonight and I believe him it got cold fast while I was out coaching my friend on how to use the telescope. I had my winter jacket on and still got cold. But I picked the right day to come up here the sky is crystal clear and the air is stable. You can really crank up the magnification on the scope with no distortion. I can see all seven stars in the little dipper with the naked eye. And at least a dozen stars inside the great square of pegasus. Tomorrow should be almost as good here but then its back to clouds and rain. The weather man said that southern NM is already nearly 10 inches above normal for the year. That's a lot for here because the average yearly rainfall is only about that much. Keep doing the backstroke over there in the east. I'll toss my cranberry juice empty bottles in the creek so the might float down

We have made another move. We drove a whooping 60 miles yesterday from Gold Canyon to Casa Grande. Other than 2 times in Oregon and when we bought our rig we have pretty much moved every week for the 3 years we have been on the road but this will be our first attempt at hanging out in one spot for a month. We will be here until Dec. 1st.

I'm back in Deming again. I really enjoyed the ink black skies at Cosmic Campground. It got down to freezing during the night. I didn't have the sensor for the thermometer out so don't know exactly how cold but a paper cup with about a half inch of coffee in it was left on the accessory table and it froze solid. That will probable put an end to the trips up there for this year. I'm pretty sleepy for sitting up half the night so nothing got done once I got back here. Tomorrow will be taking my laundry in and getting appointments for an oil change and refilling the DEF tank on the truck then filling the DEF tank on the Navion. Then more ŹZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Boy, you guys and all your rain stories. You're all going to RUST! Well, we did get rain here too in Arlington Washington (almost in EH country), but it was mostly gentle and just did a great job of putting us to sleep. We were dry camping at our Nieces place and helping her a little getting her horse boarding business going. My brother Paul and his wife Diane came up from Seattle, brought some tools and we got a few things done. We set up some electric fences, built a couple of horse jumping pole holders, set some "T" posts and generally kept out from under foot. Good to see her and finally getting to meet her new husband John in the process. Yesterday we moved over to Whidbey Island, and are sneaking up on Joe to see if we can steal a little baaaaad Whiskey! Right now we are hanging out at the Elks club and having a good time exploring the island. No frost around here yet, so we'll stay a while before we start down the coast. You can stop all the RV water tests now ya hear!! Steve

well we are all settled in at Imperial Bonita Estates, Bonita Springs, FL until Feb 1st, 2016. Originally we planned to stay two months but added November when the weather out east was unsettled... this will indeed be our longest stay in one spot (we did two months last year in San Diego). Hope I don't get hitch itch too soon...

After we have a nice visit with Mickey Mouse, we'll head that way. Do you want to run over and make sure our site is cleaned up before we get there? That way we won't have to worry about a landscaper coming by and nicking our sewer hose. Isn't that what just happened to you? :D

NEW KNEE NEWS .....

Dr here in Tucson says I have worn out knees - I could have told him that -

first available date for surgery is Dec 21 - no way I want surgery that close to Christmas

then if I had surgery in early Jan - we would miss Q completely

Planning is never easy....

So now have surgery set for Jan 27 and have to have a pre op. exam the week before

So Bottom line is:

we will be in Q early this year - likely 13th to 18th or 19th

so that is the first weekend of RV show.

we will plan on same area as last year - north of town

anyone else willing to join us that early?

Julie

Hey, Julie, we can do that operation around the campfire. IYQ has some good sharp knives and I know we can find some anesthetic around there somewhere

Carol did really good with her knee, and I know you will too. Anyone who can swing her leg over a Harley should have no problem. We will probably be there in Q early too. I talked to Wayne and Barbara, from Oklahoma and they will be with us at Q also. Not sure when they plan on coming, but probably during "show time". I think Randy & Liz will be there too with our old bus, so we get to see it again.

Nice sunny day in the 50's here in Oak Harbor today, and we are getting ready to raid Joe's place in a few minutes. Have a good one! Steve

Julie, best of luck with the knee surgery. Before we left Mt. Dora we had a sandwich and a couple of beers on the deck at Pieces Rising. Great view of the lake ans saw a seaplane takeoff.

We have water 10 feet from the rearend of the motorhome. It's like a canal then turns into a marsh. Last night I was sitting there and notice something in the water. Yep, we have a little 2 to 3 foot long gator patrolling the water. Saw him again this morning and took the flashlight out tonight and his little eyes lit up. Yikes! Hope he stays in the water.

Since we are here for a month had a guy come out to look at the rear AC unit that quit. He order some parts and it should be fixed in a day or two. Also the old Jeep is going in tomorrow for some steering repairs. It has a lot of miles on it so things are going to wear out and need repair.

Hot and humid here in Ft. Pierce. Upper 80's and down to 70 for a low.

We have nothing set in stone and will probably be near by at that time so I don't see why we couldn't roll in about that time.

And I was always pretty darn good with that Operation Game. I hardly ever made the nose light up,,,,,, or was it because the bulb was burnt out,,,,, I can't remember now LOL!!!
