Oh Oh, now I'm going to have to remember where I hid the ice cream machine so I can bring it. Don't say anything to IYQ, we don't want him to "go on alert"!

No I wasn't out in the stars, too cold but my nose started twitching and that always starts my ears to scan all around.

I just got back from taking 4 cowgirls out to the Adobe Deli for dinner. I didn't get a word in edgewise but enjoyed it immensely. So tonight I'll sit here and talk to myself to catch up. LOL Still winter here they are saying 27 degrees for the next 3 night's Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I don't think I'll be needing that Ice Cream Machine. I'll just poor some milk in a bowl and set it outside.

The wind! Oh my. So we left Cocopah Casino in the wind and it followed us to Gila Bend. Terrible mileage. So we turned south and lost the wind. Ajo and Why and now we are at Snyder Hill, south of Tucson. Great boondocking.

Wanted to share this. There is a free sani station in Yuma. The Giant/76 Station at 2820 - 4th Ave. No charge. Water, dump and garbage.

Here until about the beginning of the month. We will move over to the Casino Del Sol for a few days before we go though.

Glad we got to see you guys when we came through Paducah. At least in South Texas there shouldn't be any ice to slip on. Good luck with the gate! We'll miss you! Steve & Carol

Freddy and Delcie, It won't be the same without you two at Q this year. We'll miss you. Come to think of it I didn't ever throw anything at you so I guess I will miss you. See You got me going crazy already.

It got down to 24 last night and they are saying 21 for tonight. Where did I put those mucklucks? I'm not going to tell you what I froze this morning. This morning I did a lot of running taking care of business then this afternoon I took one of the Cowgirls to the Museum here in town. It's a really good one. I think she read evey card and sign in the place. While there she found a display on Fort Cummings and the Apache raids in Massacre Canyon. That is where I took her yesterday so it made it all the more interesting for her. Now the trip means much more than a bumppy ride across the desert. I better be careful pleasing these gals so well. I might end up like Shadowtracks. Don't hit me Nancy I didn't mean it that way.

Beautiful day but a little cool. Only about 50 degrees but nice for my walk. I finally got the registration for the little trailer. I'll have to go to Jimmy's to put the plate on the trailer. Jimmy called me yesterday to ask for approval for an item that he thought was too expensive and said the progress was going well. I'll go there today so he can discuss anything on his mind with me and check how far he is on the total job. All the leaves came off the trees I've been watering. I've been cutting back on the water for about a month now. Now with no leaves I'll cut way down on watering. Just enough to keep root growth going. And that's it from Deming.

Well, we got our shots today. The flu shot vaccine was in short supply around here, so we finally called Fry's and they had 12 doses in stock. They had the shingles and pneumonia shots too so we got all of them. Now we should be good to go. We had tried Walgreens and CVS, for a couple of weeks but they still don't have any. My sister just got shingles recently and she told me to GET THE SHOT!!, so we did. On Medicare it was $45 each but without it's about $260.00 so being old is worth it in some cases. Ha Ha. Nice 75 degree day here in Yuma today, so we are going for a bike ride. Steve

Well, we got our shots today.

Oh, I can think of so many smart remarks to make.

So, now that you are immune to everything you won't need any more baaaad whiskey?

You also made me remember Charlie Weaver saying, "Grandpa broke his glasses today. Now he's drinking from the bottle."

That should give you an idea of how tired I am tonight. So tired I'm sitting in the Louisiana Welcome Center parking lot because Walmart was too far off the freeway to make it there.

Jerry & Janice,

I'm not going to make it as far as Beaumont tomorrow but should make it all the way to Rainbow's End the day after. But I did dump yesterday so no longer need your help doing that. (A nice young man at Rainbow Plantation helped.) Thanks for the offer, though.

I wasted most of the day tring to thaw out my water system when it wasn't frozen. I use water from my tank and refill it when it gets close to empty. It was close today so I went out to hook up the city water so I could fill the tank through a bypass valve I have installed. I had just left the hose on the ground the last time I filled. When I picked up the end of the hose to attach it. It wasn't attached on the filter end. The male quick connect had broken in two. I must not have got it drained very well when I disconnected it the last time and these 20 degree nights froze it enough to break the quick connect. So I just took the filter and pressure valve off and used the hose directly and hooked it to the water tap. I turned it on and went inside to turn the bypass valve but no water. So I figured the water had frozen somewhere inside the trailer between the city water hook up and the first water line to any faucet. I tried every trick in the book like running hot water from the faucet farest from the HW heater to heat up that line which runs parallel to the cold water feed line and turning the furnace on to heat up the ducts in the floor but all the water I got was just a drip. I finally gave up and went out to put all the hoses away. When I took the outside faucet off the city water connector I decided to take a look at the male quick connect which stays screwed into the city water connector. There was a wad of stuff between the end of the quick connect and the hose strainer that would chock a cow. Where it came from I don't know. But it sure had the water stopped from entering the trailer. I cleaned it up and it works like it should now but I'm exhausted.

Pulled into Big Bend of the Colorado St Pk yesterday. A beautiful new roomy CG with full hook ups, cabana and fire pit just five miles south of Laughlin, NV. Lynn & I had a chuckle around the campfire recalling someones negative review that said they left after one night because they didn't feel safe in their MH here. Apparently, it was because it doesn't have a keypad gate lock. Spooky too because there was only a couple other RVs and the hosts rig wasn't registered. Maybe they should just stay home in their gated community! Pays to read the fine print on some of these online reviews I guess.

Steve, right after I turned 60 I immediately went out and got that shingles shot after talking to people that had shingles. My insurance would only pay the full amount after I hit that magic age. Thanks for the heads up on the flu shot shortage...been meaning to get ours. Hope we haven't waited too long!

Started to notice a cluster of pins in this area...won't be long for more reunions! Lee, when are you planning on moving yours? Sounds like it's time to put that colder weather behind and head over!

Sounds like you found a great place to stay for a few days except for no gate and key pad. Maybe you can just dribble a line of red paint across the entry road, that should be good enough. Hey it worked for Clint.

We will be leaving Lake Havasu in the morning headed to a huge area with no gate (Q)for a few nights before heading to Desert Hot Springs for Turkey Day.

We are in Tucson. I think Toni and Doug are our neighbors not far away, will see them soon. :)

Tina and I got our flu shots in Cedar City, Utah about 3 weeks ago at a Walgreens. We've talked about the shingles shot but haven't done it.

Roger, you and Lynn should probably take turns being on lookout with Willie.

Lots of pins in the southwest for sure. We'll all be bumping into each other soon.

Travel safe everyone.

Roger My pin is so solidly stuck it's going to take and earth quake to move it. I'm hoping to be in Q in late January when the gang meets but other than that I have no Idea. I'd also like to leave here a little early and spend a week or two in WHY OR AJO or maybe down in Organ pipe but I've never been able to get a data signal on Verizon down there. Maybe someday they will upgrade the system.

This morning was really nice after the sun warmed things up but the wind started kicking up a little after noon. This afternoon I took one of the Cowgirls to a Doctor's appointment and took a nice Steve in the truck while I was waiting on her. This evening I took a different Cowgirl to dinner at Irma's. Other than that, my walk and watering a couple trees, I didn't do much of anything.

Just think Thanksgiving is next week. We haven't even figured out where we're going to pig out yet. There are lots of casinos around ... Spotlight 29, Fantasy Springs or maybe even someplace in the big city of Palm Springs. Either way it'll be just the two of us this year. Maybe we'll have our own celebration on the picnic table outside. I doubt we'll head into Phoenix before that. Weather's been gorgeous We like it just like this.

If anyone's around, let us know. We'll let you fix the turkey for us! :D:D (I think I'm safe there!)

After many nights at Walmarts and rest areas I'm in a real park tonight. Drained my fresh water tank all the way down so I needed hookups. Not a fancy place but $25 got me water, electric, and screaming fast wifi so I'm happy. The faucet was so low to the ground there's barely room to hook it up. And a rose bush attacked me as I plugged into the power pole. But It's nearly 9 pm and I have not had to turn the furnace on yet so I feel like I'm living the life of Riley. I should make it to Rainbow's End tomorrow then I get to start cleaning out my RV. Ugh! Any of you readers hanging around there watch for my yard sale. Gonna have some good stuff.
