We drove up to Holtville today with Terry and Edi, and Bob and Karen. It was a lot smaller than I thought. Our first bunch of ribs were very good, our last not so much. Good home churned ice cream. Would we go back? Probably not.

This morning we actually had about 5 minutes of rain but the day turned out to be the warmest yet. Showing 92* in the sunshine.

Just to make you all feel better--it has been so cold here it had to warm up to snow. Which it did. Now the temps are dropping again. Did you know solar panels don't work when covered with snow? And cold batteries don't take a charge well? Drove the equivalent of Q to Parker and back on Friday and still didn't get up to 100%. Brrrr.

Arrived safe and sound in Deming. Nice weather all the way. A little tired but not bad. Will set up in the morning.

Glad you have arrived safely, Lee. Read your post at the campfire this evening, and we all cheered for you! Did you hear us? You are missed, but glad we all had this time together. Be seeing you down the road :)

When I came in here last night I just parked and went to bed early. I woke up pretty early this morning and while drinking coffee I thought it would be a good time to take the rig in to repair a couple of things. I was still hooked up so I just pulled out and went to Jimmy's RV Repair. Last night the Cowgirl next door came over and gave me a welcome back hug. This afternoon when I came back she came running over and ask what had happened to me because I was gone when she came out this morning. I told her " You were snoring so loud that I decided to spend the night down town because the trains and freeway noise wasn't as loud." Naturally she denied it so then I told her I liked the hug I got so much that I left and came back again to get another hug. I think I'll run for the US Senate.

Check out my blog. Freddy went swimming yesterday. I can't believe I didn't think about taking a picture! I can't believe that!

Just so glad everybody is okay. Such excitement certainly makes the heart pump faster.

So glad there was a group. What a story, when you least expect it something happens. Could've been bad but it had a happy ending. When are y'all going again?

Boy do I know when NOT to go on an outing and head down the road instead. I'm sure glad every thing turned out OK and all are safe and sound back in their own rigs. Just think Freddy you,ve had your bath for this week it will save on water in your rig.

I just bought an IPad Air. I think I'll like it if I ever get use to it. My shop building is in place but not wired yet. It will be a week or so before I can start working on it.

If you like your iPad Air even half as much as I like my iPad2 you're set.

Linda

Agree.

lee, should have bought it here. we could have given you pointers.

And yes, Freddie took more ribbing sitting around the campfire tonight. If he had only thought to bring a bar of soap in the kayak!

Sure am glad to hear that everyone is alright. Freddy's all cleaned up again, etc. Hope none of you are getting Sunburned either. As for me, I'm back in the PNW once again where there is NO sun to be found. Guess I'll just have to close my eyes and re live my fishing trip last week. Weather was in the 80's, HAPPY HOUR drinks flowed non stop, Bikini's around the Pool. Ahhhhhhhhh think I need to go back. :D

So just for Jim, here's a picture. These are the 2 we had to keep, swallowed the hook. 3rd, and larger one we released.

Great photo, Joe! How much did you have to pay the guy to let you stand next to that big fish to get your picture taken with it?

Ha ha ha! But I do see coats and hats on.

Yep, easier to wear the coat than to carry it. I had to borrow it for the trip out, was kinda cool for the first hour as we motored out the the fishing grounds.

Joe - Jim was very impressed. I've kept him out here in the desert for the last month so he is really chomping at the bit to get back to AJ and his beloved boat.

Gee Sandie, the poor guy is in withdrawal.
