Paul & Sue, we must have driven past you today if you're still in Fresno. We started in Bakersfield and wound up here at the Elks club in Walnut Creek. We were in heavy traffic in Fresno and I thought I was going to have to get out and grease the sides of the bus to keep the little cars off the sides. Sure needed an adult beverage or two when we got here. If you're going north, there's another site here and it's quiet. 30a and water. Steve

Roger, we saw the people dry camping at the Tampa show last year and it looked like they were having a great time. We were already set up at the Elks club, so we decided not to do it, but probably would if we went to that show again. They did have a good trolley system to haul people from their RV's to the main entrance. Steve

Thanks for the info Steve...Did they have any/many used MH's at the show for sale?

Actually this is even after Yuma so if a few are heading to Yuma, they could still do this too. How many takers do you have so far?

Lake Havasu also has a Hot Air Balloon Festival January 17-19 and a Winterfest February 8-9. I had to go check out their event calendar because we've always wanted to go when the hot air balloons were there. However, I didn't realize it was during the "Q" events. We had thought it would be fun to stay at Lake Havasu State Park right on the edge of the lake. We did that once though and if you think trucks, freeways and railroads are noisy, you haven't been to that lake on a weekend. Not saying we wouldn't do it again because we would.

Happy Friday, everyone... fun reading along and keeping up with the adventures! For us, some changes (yeah, like that never happens :). We had planned to stay in Borrego Springs until after Christmas and then move on to Yuma. We are now at Jojoba Hills SKP! Our solar project plans began taking shape, and we ended up going to a solar supply place in Riverside County and then on here. Amazing what can happen to plans when your home has wheels!!! Anyway, we will be here a few days, and then move to a friend's yard in Fallbrook, CA on Monday for a week... family and friends there, including some "project time." (We always think of you, Dave, when we say the word "project.") LOL. Then on to Yuma by the new year!!!

Sue and Paul... where in San Diego are you? Still looking forward to meeting you both. Fallbrook is in north San Diego County, and then we will travel I-15 south thru San Diego before heading east on I-8. Maybe a cup of coffee somewhere? If not, be seeing you in Q.

To everyone... best wishes for this holiday season, wherever you are, whatever uou do. Travel safely! D & T

They had some, Roger. They did have the long RV (45') from the I love Lucy show. They had one section with a bunch of antique RV's, it was pretty interesting. We managed to get out of there without buying anything, but it was tough! One thing we found out staying in that area is you can get a cruise ship pretty reasonable. We were only 7 miles from the cruise dock in Tampa, and we just went down every week and checked on last minute cruises. We found one for $380 each for 7 days, and had a blast. Also if you go by the big electrical station in downtown they have a great observation place (free) to watch the manatees. If the weather turns cold, they come in the inlet by the plant to get warm. We had our exit meeting from Amazon yesterday and it was really great because they let us go a day early. Since there was a lot of bad weather coming, we decided to leave Coffeyville at 2 pm. We did make it to Grant OK staying at Choctaw Casino. We had to drive at night, which we really don't like to do, but it was either that or be stuck in Coffeyville today for all the ice. We had quite the thunderstorm last night but thankful it was only rain. Will be in Livingston later today. See every in Q!!

Well it's really just a lil reminder that Mother Nature has a sense of humor. Only thing I did yesterday was sweep the SNOW off the deck and go play in the HEATED shop for a bit. And learn that the refer in my MH is truly DEAD. On that front I'll find out Monday what the $$$$ will be.

As for the San Fran Cisco weather............................Actually I just read an email from another friend that's down that way visiting, only she was rubbing it in how nice the weather is there.

Happy Friday, everyone...

We are now at Jojoba Hills SKP!

We spent a couple of weeks at Jojoba Hills in 4/12. Really like the place and the people. Nice clubhouse and pool. Temecula isn't too far away either. A lady on our rv tour down the east coast has a place there too. Her name is Fran and drives a Sprinter chassis B+. Very nice lady.

Oh well the AC just came on. Going to be warm through the weekend. They say a cold front is coming through Tuesday, will be mid 70's on Christmas day.

Stay safe everyone.

We are staying at Campland on the Bay in SD until Jan. 17th.

While we are here Paul is helping his nephew build a deck and the nephew lives in Oceanside, not that far from where you will be, I think.

With the holidays, the "work schedule" is a little disjointed but if we could meet up with you guys for dinner on a day when we'll be at their house, that could work out great. Lets take a look at it once you are there!

Hi Sue... would be great to meet up and get acquainted with you and Paul! We would be happy to drive to Oceanside... yes, a crazy time for scheduling around a holiday. Would lunch or dinner on Thursday work? Might be able to make Friday or Saturday work, but Thursday would be best. Please e-mail us at tdhomestead12@gmail.com Look forward to making a plan!

I just got back from having lunch with Denise and her friends and neighbors there at Borego Springs. They are a very nice couple. Denise is working on them to come up to our get-to-gather in Q. It was a very pleasant day. I got home before dark and took a Steve because I didn't get much sleep last night. Now I probably won't sleep tonight. Oh Well in this full time boon dock life it won't make much difference.

Linda - I'm so sorry to hear this. But I can totally understand the frustrations. Will you drive the rig home? Dave going with you? We will miss you. Be safe.
