When i was at Wisc DMV they said if i register my Volvo as a motorhome i could not haul 5th wheel only bumper pull But they also said weight of motorhome is for registration. We dont care how much the camper / toyhauler trailer weighs. I found that interesting in Wisc. Same license plate as a class A B or C just different weight sticker. I brought this up before on the forum , but not much discussion. I have seen bumper pull trailers pass me and go up on 2 wheels (one side) but it was driver caused by driving like a maniac pulling the trailer.

We would never drop Passport America or Escapees Joined PA 18 years ago with Ray (original owner) was alive. We have used PA with anything from pop up tent camper to our HDT. We make our own fun where ever we stay. Escapees is great too. We have no interest in the Social aspect of Escapees Park connections are great. Use both and you will not regret it

Assistance on what type of rv ? HDT MDT CLASS A VAN CAR ? They mostly all cover cars.

Much heavier than i thought they were. Converting it to RV puts you over the magic 26,000 lb mark. Im 18,000 loaded with clothing and food in the fridge. Without trailer

I got a few CB Radios etc with my Volvo. I used CBs years ago. Does anyone still use them? Seems like a good idea if more than on vehicle is traveling. Thanks

The DMV here classes me as a class A and titled as truck with motorhome body. They also said i can bumper pull anything . But if i pull 5th wheel.it must be changed to truck not motorhome. I will double check with insurance. What does AAA say ?

The one thing i dont like about Some Sites is that some members suddenly become know it alls and post down to people asking simple questions even name calling. Thats not what sites were established for.

Got a call from insurance agent, they want new pictures and a picture of registration. I thought they already had that. State Registration says Motorhome. We will see what insurance says.

In order to make sleeper more comfortable, i removed the little closet on passenger side, added a stock used upper cabinet now i have upper cabinets on both drivers and passenger sides. Man good used ones are hard to find at a fair price

We play it by ear mostly. Pull in a place for first time about 330 pm ond day only, then jf we like it we stay another or return . Sometimes we just stay at a truck stop for the might and then move on. Make the best of the experience of whereever you are and demand no expectations of amyone .

Ok you take a HDT and title ot as a Motorhome My state says im a Class A now . A stand alone motorhome class A . I can bumper pull a trailer and still be a Class A. But if i pull a 5th Wheel im a non comercial truck. Under 26,000 lbs.

This year we spent about 45 minutes with the main guy there . He worked with the owner fir years before he died. They were dropping off about 60 buckets of paint. He mixes them to create colors close to what he needs. The structure is made of old tree branches and donated bales of hay. Some areas are closed as they are deteriorating. Mud and paint.over the hay. I was told the land on the whole place is owned by the state. There was one offer in the works to buy the whole place , but it fell thru. That would mean eviction and bulldozers. I just learned all this from the visit there. Very interesting
