  1. And you are likely correct, however, the Boring Company has to have a lot of that earthmoving equipment as they don't just dig a tunnel without a lot of surface prep and finishing at the beginning and ends of those tunnels, so that was my thinking as to the possibility.
  2. Since the Boring Company does infrastructure I would hazard a guess that they might do part of it. Just a guess though.
  3. Interesting! The only downside I see for an RV would be that it may not fit in the allotted space. We have a 55" TV but it is mounted on one of the up and down mounts that slide the TV into the cabinet. It fits perfectly with no space for anything at the bottom.
  4. IF they can get it to work there will be no need for wind or large scale solar. Big at this time that is a big if.
  5. There is an article in there about the new Space Force SNCO. I about spewed my coffee when I read what they call Space Force members. Guardians. What immediately popped into my head was that goofball movie "Guardians of the Galaxy". I think someone at the DoD has a wicked sense of humor.
  6. In 12v systems red in nearly always positive and black is nearly always negative. In 120v house wiring black is positive, white is negative and ground is green or bare wire.
  7. What surprised me on this map was number of states shown for nuclear power. It is actually higher than I thought since it seems to be so out of favor.
  8. And looking at the Centramatic website I am not sure why they need to even remove them in the first place. I like Costco generally but they do have some strange quirks. I buy all my tires at Discount Tire since the prices are competitive, there are a lot of locations to provide services such as balancing, rotation and warranty plus anything you get done is in the system for any other location to access.
  9. AutoNation Chevrolet West Austin shows that they have one on the lot, however I was not going to play their "we need your email and phone number" game to answer a simple yes/no question.
  10. I know what the website says, and I also know that since it is MWR it may or may b=not be up to date. As to the ID card above, I did say disabled. Not being the VA system I have no idea what the difference is between cards for disabled or not, if any. Best solution would be to call them and ask directly which I will do tomorrow if I remember.
  11. While I am not totally sure about that I think that with the Purple Heart and Disabled Veterans Equal Access Act of 2018 that will have changed. That act added several new categories of persons allowed to use MWR facilities. Now Medal of Honor and Purple Heart recipients, former POWs, disabled veterans (I think they need to be 100%) and veteran caregivers (enrolled in the VA Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers program) are allowed without having to be retired.
  12. If you are on FB you should ask these questions in the Military RVing group. I know there are a number of folks there that have stayed Davis Monthan for extended periods.
  13. TANSTAAFL - Someone, and in the case you describe the local tax payers, is paying for the electricity. You can call it free all want but it isn't.
  14. Just to clarify, a PPO does not necessarily reduce coverage, i.e., an in network covered procedure is still covered out of network, but with a higher cost share or co-pay.
  15. I just looked at the Banks website and it says you can get it installed at the manufacturer location, it does not say you must get it installed there.
  16. Technically the state safety inspection must be done at the inspection station, however if you ask around you may find a station that is willing to bend that rule as it is a pretty silly one for a non-motorized RV. This too is true as registration/license plate is only needed if it is going to be on a public roadway.
  17. What stores do you shop at? My local Lowes has DAP Latex caulk for $2.62/tube whereas the GE Silicon is $11.98/tube.
  18. That wasn't me that made the comment about the salesman.
  19. True, however what is described as the issue has nothing to do with the problem which would only have happened if the trailer was in motion. The fix could certainly impact its use and the lifestyle of the OP, but I think the manufacturer would have a hard time denying coverage (if it is still under warranty at all) based as usage as the damage could have occured on a family vacation.
  20. For what it is worth, my 2016 F-350 King Ranch, 4x4, FX4 and trailer tow packages is valued by KBB in the Austin area at $38,500 on the high end and $32,390 on the low end. Of course KBB does not account for the Herd HD front bumper or B&W Turnover hitch with Companion 20K fifth wheel. It is all about finding the right buyer at the price you think you want.
  21. From I see online Cruiser has a 3 year structural limited warranty. Now if that extends to the chassis, I don't know but you should break out it out and read it. They also say that warranty claims are processed in 24 hours. You say you have had some temporary fixes but you do not say that you have contacted the manufacturer. That is something you should do sooner rather than later. Contact them and let us know what they say.
  22. You might consider switching to T-Mobile in the not too distant future then as they have teamed with Starlink to create cell phone coverage literally everywhere. T‑Mobile Takes Coverage Above and Beyond With SpaceX
  23. This conversation piqued my interest so I checked my phone. Below are the apps that impact the battery the most and anything not listed uses 0.1% or less. Of the listed apps Chrome, AccuWeather and Google Play Services (not to be confused with Pay Store) used location and Chrome only used location when actively using the app. Google Play Services provides location for things like 911 and Emergency notifications as well as providing support to any other app requiring location services. Overall then I would say that location services have a very low impact on my battery. I too keep WiFi and Bluetooth enabled for convenience. Bluetooth connects to both cars when I am out and WiFi lets me use my phone even when deep inside a store when normally you would lose cell signal. Now, when I am waiting in the car for my wife or waiting in a doctors office lobby I will use the Kindle app which does use a lot of battery as it is keeping the screen on constantly. Gmail 1.5% Chrome 1.0% One UI Home 0.7% Always on Display 0.7% AccuWeather 0.5% Google Play Services 0.3% Tulecreeper, you strike me as someone that would get along fine on an old non-smart flip phone. 😀
  24. That is not entirely true. The SEC forced him out of his position as Chairman of the Board because of Tweets he made on potential actions. He does remain CEO and while the Board generally backs him, he does answer to a Board that answers ultimately to the stockholders.
  25. And I did not say it exceeded Tesla sales. I just said it was not surprising it carried the sales numbers it did due to price. Not every comment made about EVs is anti-Tesla. Although, my son-in-law says that if he were to spend the money it would cost him for a Tesla S or X he would buy a BMW iX for the better fit and finish. I don't have the money to consider either so I just nod my head knowing that his research and reasoning are sound.
