  1. That ceramic spray is incredible stuff. I wish I would have had it as a college kid detailing cars to pay my tuition back in Kansas.
  2. I just took my generator to the shop to get fixed. Carb, was all gummed up and I had old gas in the tank that was causing the problem. $165.00 later runs like new, I am not 100% sure it was worth it on an 10+ year old generator but the "D.W." said no on buying a new one, So I said "Yessss Deeaarrr" and paid for a clean up and repair. 3. What part of Michigan do you live in? My wife's family is from the Grand Rapids area, they now live in Morley. We make it up to that part of the country about once every 3 years in the summer. I went once and only once at Christmas, I have never seen so much snow. Later, Cory Ossana - Vegas Teacher
  4. When it comes to doing stuff like you are doing the best guy to talk to on this forum or private message is Jack Mayer at RV Life Styles he works these trucks every day and has done a countless number of beds and E.T. Hitches. I drove to Dennis Kansas and visited with Jack last summer. He is a stand up guy. I live in Las Vegas but my home town of Pittsburg Kansas is just 30 minutes from his town. Later. 5. Come on buy you and Dave can stop in together and we can have a beverage while we clean!!!! 😉 Later, Cory O
  6. 10 - 4 on that! Your truck looks nicer than mine so yours would be fun to shine up.
  7. Hey Trimster You were so right, the buffer I got, see my new post, is awesome. I think my truck was rode hard and put away wet without any TLC along the way for the first 950,000 miles of its life. It took me 3 hours to do 1 small section from washing up to the spray on Nexgen, ceramic polish. However that back, lower, passenger side fairing looks awesome. I couldn't get a really deep scratch out completely but it looks a lot better. I will hit it each time I detail it from now on. Later, Cory O
  8. I wanted to bring a little of my Italian heritage to my truck!! I got this for $30.00 from Raney's Truck Parts. Later, Cory O - Vegas Teacher
  9. Hello All!!! O.K. I got my random orbital buffer from Amazon. It was the SPTA model: Buffer Polisher, SPTA 5-Inch 125mm Dual Action Random Orbital Car Polisher,Car Detailing Kit, 4Pcs 5inch & 4Pcs 6Inch Polishing Pad,Packing Bag for Car Polishing and Waxing-DAPSET-US I used the Clay bar and 3 step Mothers Compound, Polish and Wax and finished with Nexgen Ceramic Spray. In between each step I wiped with a microfiber cloth. Well I did one fairing, passenger side lower rear panel. I washed it off first and started with the clay bar. This panel had many deep scratches in it. After 3 hours of washing and buffing starting with the cutting compound I was pleased overall. The electric polisher was a lot of fun to use. I have to be honest and say that I did not get out every bit of the scratch in the paint but you have to look for it to see it. It was a nice day in Vegas on Saturday so the time outside was great. The huge difference was how smooth the paint is now on that area. I am totally impressed with the products I used. The ceramic spray went on and off extremely easily. I am sure nobody had put that much effort into the paint job of the truck since it was released into service in 2010. Sorry I don't have pictures but you really could not see much from them. 10. I ordered the ceramic wax too. How much elbow grease went into the ceramic stuff? I made it up to St. George a couple of weeks back but did not make it any further north on 15, thought of you in Salt Lake. Later, Cory O
  11. I get the same thing every time I go over to the inlaws to start mine too. I throw the battery switch and it sits for about 2 weeks between starts. I don't know what is wrong. I was wondering if I had a bad fuel pump or if fuel took a while to get back to the cylinders after sitting dorman? Later, Cory O
  12. I was told Yes Dear would always work but did you know if you say it sarcastically it, does not work at all?
  13. Copy & update, after I sat through a crown on the lower left side of my face today, I got home to find my buffer on the front porch. I will let you know how it went. Later Cory Ossana
  14. I think I might look into the little Giant, probably a lot cheaper then scaffold.
  15. Thanks, I think I can visualize what you are saying much better than what I had.
  16. I should be getting my buffer today, I can't wait to see the job it does.
  17. Thanks a million! It got me see away from being inside and visiting with in laws about boring stuff.
  18. Well an update I told my wife I would booster her up too. She told me I was number 1, but I don't think that was the correct finger to do that. Later Cory Ossana
  19. When I got my 2010 780 D13 engine it only had 2 batteries on it. It started fine, however I knew it was supposed to have 4 batteries and Volvo ran a special just to get People into Volvo TEC here in Vegas and had batteries on sell for 35.00 each. Since I had two batteries only and they were 4 years old, as I was told, I couldn't find a good reason not to stock up. Short answer is I ran my truck on 2 old batteries for the first two years I had it. Later, Cory O
