  1. My mechanic put on Monroe shocks for me and they ride really nice.
  2. So I ordered the mother's clay bar and polishing kit off of Amazon, it has 2 yellow clay bars and clay bar lube, micro fiber cloth and 3 polishes with it. It comes last week mid week, I get all psyched up ready to use it and our weekend turns off cold and kind of miserable. This weekend I go to Delano California to do Schutzhund practice and Sunday I have welding to do for a friend, so I guess I won't get to use it until spring break for CCSD. I am also looking at long throw random orbital polishers, oh boy do I love new tools. I have watched several reviews and see that the Bauer model at Harbor Freight is not at the top of the list. The porter cable model looks really nice. Later Cory Ossana - Vegas Teacher
  3. I looked up the buffer at Harbor, It think 22.00 is worth just the fun factor to see if it will work, thanks for the advice! Vegas Teacher - Cory Ossana
  4. You know you could have something there. I am watching all of the old X-files on Hulu right now too. By the way I can't remember if I have told you this but your rig is really nice looking. I like the striping on it. I think I-80 chrome is the same chain as I-44 chrome too. I went on the I-44 chrome website (Joplin Missouri) and ordered a catalogue I could hold and read and look at before I go to sleep, and the catalogue I got said I - 80 Chrome instead. My home town is 30 minutes from Joplin Mo. I am from Pittsburg Kansas. Yep No H in my Pittsburg. Later, Cory O
  5. Bob I know what you mean. It seems like I should just give my credit card to Ray Allen K9, All K9, Elite K9 or Chewy.com. I get boxes from all of them once a month. I joined Schutzhund because I know my wife would have done it with or without me and that way I get to see her on the weekend. Have you ever noticed when it comes to buying something for the dog and ordering it price of purchase not a big deal, however when I order something for the semi I have to explain what it is, why I need it and where it will be used LOL. No I am kidding but I am guessing you understand LOL!!!! Once again if you come to Vegas look us up, would love to meet you some day! Later, Cory O
  6. O.K. So I went on Amazon and ordered the Mothers clay bar, microfiber towel and 3 different polishes and waxes to get my truck looking good. I am going to use good old elbow grease to get it shined up. Cory O
  7. Does she do the ACK obediance? Have you seen Charlie Hansen's Rottie, He went to worlds in Germany for Rotties and won! He is a Vegas Dog. Also if you ever get to Vegas PLEASE look me up, we could talk dogs and trucks all night. I will look into the Variocage, it sounds really interesting. Oh see if your wife agrees on this, the most important piece of training equipment, outside of the leash and collar, it an excellent folding chair that is comfortable. Whenever somebody new joins our club that is the first piece of advice that I give them that is not directly related to the dog, get a chair that you like because you will spend a lot of time in it..... Thanks, Cory O
  8. Thanks, I don't want to F!@# up my paint I want to make it shine. Appreciate the advice!
  9. Hello all, 960,000 miles on my 2010, Volvo 780. I am out with my wife for another round of Schutzhund training in Pahrump. It is Friday about 7:30, we pull into Simpkins Park for the night / weekend. I have a friend who is a friend with the Sheriff's office and they call them to let them know we are going to be there and they do a couple, three drive bys in the night to make sure we are safe. So anyway we are just on the north side of Pahrump and you can see the city lights, my dashboard lights up and says Regen required, so as I am going down the road I flip through the screens and find Regen, not a problem but then the truck refuses to do the Regen while moving and gives me another message saying Parked Regen Required. So I think O.K. Simpkins Park is only about 10 minutes from where I am I can run the Regen there as soon as I get parked. WELL not so fast there......... I pull in, put the truck in park and pull the air brakes. Next I go through the menu select manual Regen again and.............. NOTHING happens except I get an error code that Regen Failed Check Status Menu, Next I get a code again that says Request Parked Regen. So I turn off the semi, and give it a minute to think, I turn it on and try the whole process all over again and NOTHING same error code, same message. At this point I am getting a little frustrated. I took pictures of each message and error code and I sent them to Steve, the mechanic at True Blue. Now please understand this is Friday night, now it is close to 8:00 p.m. I told him what was going on and like I said I sent him pictures on a text message to his phone at his house where he is probably starting to enjoy his weekend. It wasn't more than 2 minutes later Steve calls me, I go through everything with him on the phone. First he tells me to take a breath and to step on the brake pedal and go through the process all over again. Regen takes and goes through its cycle for about 20 to 30 minutes. Engine heat climbs to about 210 degrees but all is good. Code clears, messages clear and dumby light turns off on the dash. I know I have talked about my experience with True Blue before. I know have talked about Steve before. Please understand in Vegas Customer Service varies from place to place, However I can't say enough good things about Steve and True Blue Consulting & Repair LLC - 702-979-8480, 3451 Losee Rd, North Las Vegas 89030. Steve is a one of a kind here in Vegas. He could have ignored my text, instead he called me, he did not text, he called. It took him 30 seconds to tell me what to do and then stayed on the phone with me until I was up and going. He called me at 9:00 to see if all went well and if the messages had cleared. This is a great person! I really can't begin to express how different he is from the rest of Vegas. If you are ever making a run through Vegas, and anything seems the least little bit off, stop in and see him. He will also look at Class A diesel pushers and Super C's, but I think his hourly rate for that is 110.00 per hour. Later, Vegas Teacher - Cory Ossana
  10. I have a 7 inch buffer from Harbor Freight, it spins really fast in one direction, it is not a random orbital buffer. Is this safe to use on the hood of the semi. I know a lot of stuff at Harbor Freight is not top of the line but for a one and done ( which is why I got it ) but got to thinking about some of the stuff that was posted. I also heard if you mix vinegar in with the soap it would help to start taking off the oxidized paint, is that B.S. or truth???? Later, Cory Ossana - Vegas Teacher
  11. I will absolutely get some! Thinking about traveling some in Utah over Easter/spring break too.
  12. Love a new tool or any excuse I can use to convince the DW I need one!!!😎
  13. I used new finish before but I did not know I could use it on fiberglass as I am now learning. I am thinking clay bar the new finish and the turtle was spray and wipe off.
  14. Thanks I really appreciate it and will try it next weekend or over spring break depends on the DW.
  15. Temporary fix until I have it painted.
  16. Clay Bar????? Like the clay we used in grade school? Can you give me an address for amazon that I can order one from? I love this idea, I love to polish cars. I used to do it when I was in College to make cash money. I would get up at 6:00 a.m. and get 40.00 to wash, wax and detail the inside and out of a car. Now the place down the street gets 250.00 for that job...... Later, Vegas Teacher
  17. Thanks! Sent you a reply too!
  18. Thanks! I was worried that if I put the wrong wax on the paint it would hurt it because of the fiberglass, really appreciate the information!!!!!!! Later, Vegas Teacher - Cory O
  19. I am planning on a completely new paint job on my Volvo at some point, but I was wondering does anybody have a favorite wax for their HDT? I have never waxed paint that was put on over fiberglass before, just wondering if there were any pitfalls to watch out for????? Later, Vegas Teacher - Cory Ossana
  20. I am sure many of us travel with our pets. I have 3 German Shepherds and they go on our adventures with us. I know when I am on the open road and my wife is sleeping on the bunk behind me Oldriska Z Weberhaus "Risk" loves to ride shotgun in the passenger seat, but when I am going into town and traveling through Vegas and I live here, I don't like having her roam around the cab freely. I love the Ruff Tough Kennel company for the Kennels they make. They are extremely durable, narrow and stackable so they take up less room. You can order them in any number of sizes and door placement or combination from the company. I think Bass Pro or Cabela's carries them. Yes I know Bass Pro Bought out Cabela's but I saw them for sure at Cabela's in Michigan, I don't remember seeing them at Bass Pro Shop. So if you travel with the family pet they are excellent. It is also nice because they are light weight and easy to get into and out of the Semi. I get in the semi, my wife is on the ground on the passenger side, she lifts and I pull it up over the passenger seat and set it between the two closet spaces. Later, Cory O - Vegas Teacher
