  1. Your remark was uncalled for and unwelcome. Do you think that your being helpful? No need to answer that as I will, you’re not. I just know when I block you, I won’t have to see what you say again. Have a great life. Love that feature, POOF, your gone. 😀🎉😀
  2. I post factual things like cell signal strength, OTA tv channels, wifi plus any observations.
  3. I post them all the time now. I stoped posting them for a couple of years. But I want to contribute to help other RVers. I forget how many people have looked or thanked me for me reviews. I get an email from them about once a month. I wanted to add to a review and my submission was to long for them. But then they wrote me back and said that they will add it as I contribute a lot.
  4. Campgroundreviews.com is a good resource.
  5. Here is the big problem. Until we get the planet vaccinated it will keep mutating. And that’s when it could mutate where the current vaccines are not protecting us. Look at the new variant, more contagious and causes more damage. And none of this factors people having long term effects from Covid. Not getting vaccinated and getting Covid and having to go to the hospital is called Karma. Every situation that this has happened, they always state that they wish that they got vaccinated. I wish people would become part of the solution instead of part of the problem.
  6. You need to look at weights and limits to see what you need. The cost difference from a 2500-3500 is minimal. Are you full timing or going on long extended trips? I researched this for a while. Number 1 rule is always have more truck then you need. As when you start pushing the limits, things break more often and you feel it while driving and get whit knuckle syndrome. Are you planning on curvy mountain roads? A DRW is so much more stable on windy roads and high winds. People also have upgraded rigs that were heavier. Then you stuck selling a not old truck early to buy one that can do more. There is a TON of reading on this. It all goes back to rule number 1, get more truck then you need. You, your family and everyone that you drive next to will be safer. Plus you will spend less in maintenance and repair.
  7. The more options you have the better your chances. I have that OTA DVR, Apple TV and a Firestick. Between the three I can watch about everything.
  8. There are not many CGs around the DC area. Land is expensive and traffic is horrible. You could be 15 miles to your place of work and it would take you an hour to get there. If you can find an apartment to rent for under $1000 a month it is going to be in a very sketchy neighborhood. I know this as I spent the first 46 years of my life around DC. Just like finding a CG around San Francisco, land is stupid $$$$ and there are not many CGs there.
  9. I have Channel Masters OTA DVR with a one TB external hard drive.
  10. This is why NIO is going to dominate the EV space with battery swapping. Takes under 5 minutes to go from low battery to full battery. Plus you could upgrade as battery tech gets better.
  11. Making sure you have correct tire pressures and everything is running right. This way you maximize your vehicles fuel mileage.
  12. I think it is going to happen faster then you think. 5-10 years you more the. Likely will not be able to buy a combustion engine car and pick-up. Might be 15 for semi’s.
  13. Popular areas like around the National Parks, beaches , places where snow birds go and resort areas you need to book in advance. Sometimes a year in advance. This winter was different as the Border was closed and most the Canadians did not come south.
  14. No problem, just wanted to get clarification.
  15. So you took 299 inland? It looks pretty windy.
  16. Thanks for the tips everyone.
  17. I was thinking of taking 101 North from San Francisco to Washington state. I have a 40’ 5ver. I have never been on this section of road. What are your thoughts and experiences? I’ve heard I should be really careful through Napa Valley as there are a lot of drunk people on the road.
  18. I full time with my cat. We had two that traveled with us but down to one now.
  19. To me the measurable difference is the temp on the inside. base- just like it is before painting the roof inside temp. varient- after the roof is painted Is there an inside temp difference? insulation is not a factor to determine the difference the product made. You also need to have about the same ambient temps and same sun light exposure. Thanks for all of the information, but I think I will save my money and time at this point.
  20. At Jojoba Hills you need to be up on the waiting list and then pay up the funds for your share in the park, as you do not own the land. And there monthly’s are very reasonable. Out side of owning, I think they just raised the limit of your stay as a guest from 2 weeks a year to 30 days a year a couple of years ago.
  21. It is CRAZY around San Diego. The park just up the street from jojoba Hills has a few people that Store there rig there. They said it is about the same price as buying a lot, paying the monthly dues and the rig is powered all the time.
  22. Helps? I have stayed there about 4 months over the past couple of years. Yes the sale is HUGE there.
  23. Thanks. So there is no difference in the inside temp, just the feel of it on the outside. I will just keep cleaning and 403ing my roof then. My hopes were it would shield the rig from more heat as silicone does not transfer the temp as much. Thanks for the experiment and feedback. I’ve been waiting to pull the trigger. You saved me money and time.
