  1. Yes I have been thinking of going full EV. I honestly am not sure that it can be done, but I thought I would start a conversation about it. I wanted to make sure that I was not overlooking a solution. I have not seen this topic come up before, so I thought I would start one up. I think we are heading to an EV world.
  2. But depending on where they are, values of the suburbs are on a huge up-tic as people Are moving out of cities to a less dense area. Plus they are getting a lot more space for the $$. And the low interest rate is also helping home sales BOOM.
  3. Not surprised at all. At least here in the US. As very few vehicles are even offered in stick. I think Ram is the only one of the big three that offer a stick.
  4. I thought about doing what your doing. Even to go a step further and wiring it through the rig. But even a 30amp source still would take a lot of time if you were low on charge to get to 80%. Would you want an Autoformer on it also to insure good voltage?
  5. Technology is always going to get better. So if the thought is to wait for better technology, you would never buy anything as you would always be holding out for the newest thing. It is proven the EVs have a lower cost to run. For the most part electricity is cheaper then gas. There is much less maintenance with an EV over a gas or diesel. As far as over all pollution that is another topic. My next car might be a hybrid because of my charging dilemma.
  6. Sell. Finding good renters can be really tough. Plus the tax implications. If you were local I would say sure, rent it. But living on the road, it more then likely will be more trouble then it is worth.
  7. WOW, what he did was WRONG!! I would never plug something of mine in someone else's pedestal with out asking.
  8. USAA has been fine with Escapees SD and TX address. My BoxElder address is my physical address and my mailing address is the Livingston, TX address.
  9. I have been thinking and wanting to get an EV. I really like the Cybertruck for many reasons, but this is not relevant. I stay at campgrounds 365 days a year. I could plug it into the 110 outlet, but it would take forever to get to a 80% charge. One campground in over 5 years had two charging stations. Just trying to think ahead of the logistics that it would take to work. Thanks for your input, ideas or real life experience with this.
  10. I find it interesting how the rig came with 50 amps and only has one AC. Usually it would be a 30amp connection with one AC and 50amp when you have two.
  11. Good to know as we are going to be heading that way.
  12. If I owned one, I would not want to come because of COVID. I would not worry as much as traveling in the rig, but the plane ride to and from. To sit in a plane with 200 strangers not knowing that they took proper precautions in keeping safe. If they stored them properly, they should be fine. As far as tags and insurance. Most are stored on private property, so they are not on the road. You could renew the tags online and have the stickers sent to the storage facility or a local friends. Insurance can be renewed online so coverage does not laps. Does it suck that people have had to change there plans, yes. I’m a full timer and my travel has been like jello since this whole pandemic started in March. I have been staying in small towns since then to minimize my risk.
  13. I have no idea. I was just in the area and what I took a picture of Is what I saw.
  14. No need to as I do not think it is going to look any different.
  15. For you SKP South Dakotans that ever wondered like me what was at the Box Elder address. Well, I’m in the area and thought I would stop by and check it out. This is what I found.
  16. I thought is was a lot less then that? I will not be getting one when it comes out. To many unknowns about any long term effects. I will stick with my mask and social distancing.
  17. I agree. I went to one today in Rapid City and maybe 10% were wearing one. Maybe there stocking up on food? when I go to a store I might hang out for a little bit and support the greater to make sure that they do not get a bunch of shit from a customer giving them a hard time.
  18. I can not confirm or deny your speculations.
  19. There are a lot of people that do not no that. There was a small percentage at Wolly World that we’re wearing masks. There are some big retailers that just announced that this policy will start in two weeks. I guess they want another 250,000 people to get it and spread it before it takes effect. REALLY!!
  20. That is the thing, you never know how they wired it.
