  1. The Escapees Letter states that you are qualified for domicile at a "residence" address of 4602 CR 673, Bushnell. We didn't need to show any other receipts to the folks at the Bushnell DMV. If you have rent and utility receipts and a declaration of domicile you could do it elsewhere but you'd still need a "residence" address, not a mail-forwarding address. There's a company in Crestview that provides "residence" address and mail service, which is lot closer to you than Bushnell. If you don't have a "residential" address either you can't do it or you'll have no end of trouble. I strongly suggest you make time for it.
  2. Miller is a very good agent. I have Progressive; previously I had Foremost.
  3. Put on the balancers yourself, have a different shop do the rotation and keep the receipts to satisfy Costco.
  4. The Bushnell address is not a PMB (you could actually live there) and an ordinary Florida d/l shows that address. It shouldn't be any different than an apartment etc. SBI was giving you a PMB. They used to be able to provide an actual residential address; no idea if they still do. Domicile is completely different than mail forwarding etc. For example (I don't have a cdl) the address on my d/l is Bushnell but no mail goes there; the PMB address is in Texas. Of course I had to go to the Bushnell DMV and change the d/l address in person. I'd suggest you call the Sumter County DMV (tax collectors office) and ask. They're used to Escapees there.
  5. An amusing aspect is that the majority political affiliation of RVers using domicile addresses is very likely the same as the political party trying to disenfranchise them.
  6. I understand how they're doing it; this statement is from the Good Sam My RV Mail website "Free boondocking on 5 acre property " So you "could" reside there, as opposed to a UPS Store that has no place to "reside." Does your d/l contain a box number? Is it different than your mailing number?
  7. SBI mail service address is a PMB. The domicile address is a different address, I believe they've made an arrangement with a nearby marina. SBI's history is in serving mariners. There's a service in Crestview, Florida, that provides domicile addresses and mail service. I believe they operate or are associated with an RV park for the domicile address. The Florida Escapees domicile address is at Sumter Oaks RVP in Bushnell, Florida, and is NOT a mail-service or PMB address. The Escapees mail service address is a PMB address in Livingston, Texas. Mail does not go to Bushnell. None of these domiciles receive. hold or forward mail; they are not PMBs. There are associated PMBs with different addresses.
  8. A quick correction; a mail service address is insufficient for d/l etc in Florida. The Escapees and other domicile addresses in Florida are not mail-service addresses. They are not PMB addresses.
  9. Foremost insures fulltimers. Progresive is being weird for some reason. http://www.millerrvinsurance.com/
  10. Call up Escapees and ask them what the problem is and what to do. You say you're still in Arizona; what does that mean. Do you not have a Texas d/l? Do you not have Texas vehicle registration? Escapees sends you a letter to take to DMV with your affidavit of domicile to get a d/l. Have you done that?
  11. Looks like our old-style water heaters are gone; I couldn't find any three-way anywhere. Here's the Dometic Attwood page. https://www.dometic.com/en-us/outdoor/rv-and-van/heating-solutions/water-heaters/dometic-wh-6gea-6-gallon-water-heater-219438
  12. Do you have an Escapees domicile address? Do you have that on your Texas driver license? Or do you just have an Escapees mail-service address? They are different things. A domicile address is proof of domicile or residency and is used for Texas d/l, insurance etc. Many financial instituions will not accept an ordinary mail-service address. You could (or do) reside at a domicile address but you can't reside in a mailbox. For example, I have an Escapees domicile address in Florida, and Florida d/l with that address, and an Escapees mail-service address in Texas. My legal address is the Florida address and Progressive is happy with it.
  13. I don't know if either of your devices will allow you to select bands to be used, but that makes a huge difference. Most just tune to the strongest signal and that's it. For example, the strongest signal where I am is Band 66 and that gives me all off about 200KBps throughput while Band 4 gives a steady 20MBps. An ordinary hotspot-style device will usually tune Band 66 and cause many people to complain that "Verizon doesn't work here." So look into that, and get an antenna up on the roof.
  14. Algae/mold can certainly grow in the water hose. Replace the hose just to be sure. The water filter should be last in line before the RV inlet.
  15. These services are restricting live TV channel locations; if you don't subscribe to "live" they're not restricted. If what you want is news back home newson works well. https://newson.us/featured
  16. Magneshade. Used constantly since 2013.
  17. I had to get that bearing replaced by a Cummins/Onan shop. Since my generator has to be removed through the front grille/cap, not a slideout or side door, it's a project that cost about $2,000 just for that. They did get the bearing replaced; at the time it was one of only two of those bearings in North America. That alternative was no generator, and it was July and we were traveling. My generator is a 29-year-old Onan Marquis and it'll happily run and run and run while producing no voltage; old Onans work that way. The fix when it produced no power turned out to be cleaning the slip rings and brushes. I have one of those cheap no-contact circuit testers; I got no current sound at the junction box above the generator or the cable leading to it. As part of the deliberations about the generator I ran across a fairly new producer of installed generators. Although it turned out that I didn't have to replace the generator, a company contact made it clear that they could supply and install a new generator in a couple of days. At that time the Onan that would fit in the available space was not expected to be available for a full year. The are gas/lp only. https://rvmp.co/collections/rv-generators
  18. Flip the breakers and check for voltage at the junction box. If no voltage, slip rings and brushes may be cruddy. If not that, perhaps control board. Older Onans will happily run while producing no voltage. https://www.flightsystems.com/shop-all.html
  19. We filled it out and signed it there at the DMV/Tax Collector office, no outside notary. Call and ask to clarify. If you're coming from another state you may have to get a Sumter County Sheriff's Deputy to stop by the park and verify your vehicle VIN. The DMV folks are nice and used to Escapees.
  20. An Escapees domicile address is different than an Escapees mail-service address. The Escapees Bushnell domicile address is for a CG you could actually live at and can get you a RealID-compliant drivers license. No different than an apartment complex. An Escapees mail-service address gets you a mail-forwarding service in Texas, just a PMB, and not good for d/l, financial etc. You don't receive mail at the domicile address. I have an Escapees Bushnell domicile address but am still using my St. Brendans Isle mailing address simply because that address is used everywhere and it's a real pain to change it. My d/l has the Bushnell address but the mailing address for DMV, financials etc is Green Cove Springs. SBI made a change several years ago and could provide a "real" address in addition to the PMB address, so you might ask them about it. I don't know if they still do that.
  21. Right now the phone says -115dBm. I don't use it for any heavy data anything, just occasional yakking and Radarscope, and the signal is sufficient for that.
  22. I have only an ordinary ATT phone, no ATT-enabled router or hotspot. Last year the office folks told us that a hurricane had taken out the wifi; I'm not aware of anything changing and no one mentioned it to me in the office a couple of days ago. Best call and ask.
