scubadave
At least I can't open them even though over the years I created them. The icons look like this: A brown file box over the application icon. I have been unable to locate a way to open these files, maybe because I don't know what this is called. DanZemke
Dave, I googled: can't open windows files whose Icons have a brown box overlay From those results, it appears that those icons are just pointers the actual files that are/were on Dropbox. Assuming they are Dropbox files, is the client app for Dropbox running on your PC? I've never used Dropbox so can't be of much help on this. scubadave
Seems that Dropbox had locked these files. The files in question have never been on Dropbox. I only used Dropbox in the past because somone took some pictures of me and the family and shared them to me via Dropbox. Once I downloaded the app and signed in the files were unlocked. Guess it's time to move those pictures and get rid of Dropbox off my devices.
