speedbugy
Trying to find a easier way to winterize when leaving for a few days or weeks I think I found it. I added a T to the anode rod hole with a spigot to drain the hot water heater and extended the low point drains. Now even my wife can do it. ARGO
Can't see pipe joints- but if you put teflon tape on the threads you may have negated the anode rod. Check continuity. Check continuity. Is that really a thing? I have always added Teflon tape and still see where the rod seems to be doing it's job. DJohns
If no pipe dope or teflon tape is used on the tee there will be leaks. The threads will cut thru the tape anyway. That depends entirely on the person turning the wrench, Teflon tape is designed to reduce torque required to stop a joint from leaking, but if the joint is over-tightened you are right.
