docj
The first Starlink speed tests have been reported. They are good, but not quite as spectacular as some had expected. But, of course, the satellite constellation has yet to be fully built out. OTOH these tests were done with just a set of Beta users, so the system was probably lightly loaded. Dutch_12078
With a bit less than 2% of the entire satellite fleet in place, and many of the needed ground stations still not in place, plus the next generation of high speed laser linked satellites still being designed and tested, I think the current "Beta" testing should more properly be labeled "Alpha+" testing. It is proving the low latency claims though, even if the speeds are not there yet. noteven
I wonder if there would be general fussing if Starlink did not carry data for mind control technology 'scuse me I meant "social media" ?
