Meanwhile, there may be some real bargains popping up for those who are prepared....

Agreed. Panic buying aside, the retail market is going to have some casualties. Less retail outlets, less transport needed. Trucking companies were already treading water, this will put some under. Be ready to pull the trigger quickly, but also be aware that companies running lean have been known to skip maintenance to save money.

I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again.

Good points.  I'm thinking perhaps an upgrade might come sooner than expected.   I think the truck lots will have a decent supply of truck from which to pick without getting into those with poor maintenance.

OTOH, we might want to conserve our reserves for bigger fish.........

Hey Trimster.  If it would help, I can transport the truck part way for you.  If it would work out, we'll be in Crossville in mid April, only 200 miles from the dealer.  Just throwing it out there.

Thanks.  To add to this pile of emergencies...we just had our butts handed to us.  5.7 earthquake.  We're just a few miles from the epicenter.  Rocked our world. We're fine. Nerves are not so fine. I was in the Silmar Calif and other shakers. It does not get better with time.

Glad you guys and everyone are doing ok. I was waffling between making the straight run north for Alberta on I-15 or making the 93 run and stopping to look at the Bonneville Speedway for once which I did ya I knew the flats are wet in late winter etc. Anyways the morning of the quake I was over dere isolation camped north of Wendover rather than in the SLC area overnight. We had a 6.2 in our southern BC years. It’s not funny.

"Are we there yet?" asked no motorcycle rider, ever.
