Chuck
Purchased a 2003 vnl 610. It has a headache rack-Protech behind the cab. Any need to keep this. Seems to interfere with access to cab air bags or work that may need to be done.
Darryl&Rita
Only if you want to. Very few here use one, but you can be different. I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here. Moresmoke
As stated keep it if you want it, other wise remove it. I have one on my truck, but I carry heavier toys than most. I use the built in chain rack for my chains and binders. I also have the jackalopee and an air hose reel mounted between the cab and the headache rack. Out of sight out of mind. Should also mention, the chain tray is awesome for hauling lawn chairs!
